Melissa & Doug My Own Wooden Mailbox Activity Set and Educational Toy

I bought this for my best friends 2.5yr old son for Christmas, and he adores it! His dad is a mail carrier of some sort, so it was on their son’s wishlist. According to her, it’s currently his fav toy, and he’s obsessed with it. Easy to use, cute, good quality. Def recommend.

My 3 1/2 year old son received the Melissa and Doug My Own Mailbox as a gift over a year ago and it's still a part of his frequently played with toys, which in toddlerdom says a lot. The box itself can be personalized with letter and number stickers and with crayons. It comes with reusable lined paper and a stamped envelope that wipe clean- really clean, not smeared wiped off crayon clean- with a damp paper towel. There's even a card with a blank face to fill in. It's perfect for kids who love to play pretend. My son uses it to deliver letters to Santa all year long and it's big enough to "mail" packages (action figures and small stuffed animals). I just bought them for my friends' 3 and 5 year old daughters who couldn't wait to open them and I plan to buy one for another friend's 4 year old son. It's one of those go-to gifts that is affordable, which surprisingly difficult thing to come by and it's more unique than the typical plastic toy you would find at a big box store. It will likely be the most popular gift at the party and most importantly, it stands the test of time. When our daughter was two, she had a KiwiCo kit that introduced her to postal workers. At the age of six, we bought her this mailbox. It was the perfect size. It fit on her shelf in her bedroom. She loved it upon receiving it. The quality of the mailbox is great. For what it's worth, the value is amazing. It's also cute, practical, and functional.

Great toy for the price, big enough for kids to put items inside. It is very sturdy and well made. I love the reusable letters it comes with, my granddaughter loves to play with it! The only negative thing is that the door is hard for my granddaughter to open.

Great for valetines dramatic play! My 3 year old loves it! She likes writing on it and wiping it off! The mail accessories it came with is so cool!

The little ones love this, we write notes to each other, fun playing post office with them. Encourages them to write notes. Fun, cute, price was good.

Fantastic item. Made a great memory for our family and continued use. We had a letter writing Fmaily evening. Bought one set for each Fmaily member and we all sat around the table, decorated our mailboxes, then wrote each other encouraging notes, and delivered them. Was tons of fun, and the kiddos didn’t wnat to stop until we ran out of stationary. The plastic letters that came with it didn’t erase all that well, but we used different paper stationary and this worked very well. We also got some fake stamps, with old fashioned pictures in them, and taught kiddos how to address an envelope. They could have done this all evening. We all really enjoyed this, and set them up in the living room, with a basket next to them with the fake stamps and extra stationary for future use if anyone needs an encouraging note or for fun. My 7 yr old son kept thanking me for buying these and having this night. Both kids (6&7), and both parents ;) REALLY enjoyed this, and still do :) Thank you!
