Aquarian Tarot Deck & Guidebook

The design of these cards is timeless, and the new companion book is thorough and very well written

I had hoped this to be an iprovement on the older edition which I have had for some time. The issue with that was the backs of the cards. These were in a garish blue which clashed with the otherwise (in my view) extremely beuatiful colours and designs David Palladini gave us. This set unfortunately is a dull colour which almost appears to be a 'second' as far as the print process is concerned. Also, although other reviewers have referred to the book as a 'new' guide, it is copyrighted 1985, so pretty old. Psychic wisdom is ageless, of course, but this still seems a bit misleading from the publisher. If you are looking for a good print quality (and can get used to the (imho) garish reverse side design,) then the US Games Systems edition with the green frame and 'Temperance' on its cover is very good. Or the smaller edition in a tin box (not as awful as that sounds!) These are cards alone, no guide book. There are many such books so hard to recommend just one. You might look at Eden Gray's books such as 'The Tarot Revealed' (also old, 1960) or Gareth Knight's 'Tarot and Magic' (second edition, Skylight Press 2012.) I have returned the reviewed item as I did want a quality print as befits these beautiful cards. Amazon made the return very easy so thanks for that (they are getting better!)
