Famous Dave's Rib-O'Licious!

Nice looking book; lots of very pretty pictures and interesting looking recipes. However, be aware that if you want to make many of these recipes the way they were intended to be made, you must use Famous Dave's brand of BBQ sauce and/or steak seasoning. (That's why my rating is only 4 stars.)I was hoping to make them with things I had on hand. I could use a different brand of BBQ sauce and steak seasoning; I might. Luckily, I do have a Famous Dave's restaurant within a mile of my house. I assume they sell their products. (They are fairly new to the neighborhood, so we haven't gone there yet, as we don't eat out much.) If you don't have a Famous Dave's nearby, you might want to consider ordering his BBQ sauce and steak seasoning when you order the cookbook, if you want to make many of the recipes, as they are written, as soon as your book arrives.

Don’t get me wrong, this is a great book! The two issues I have is that it has very little information about ribs. With a BBQ book titled Rib-O-Licious I would expect that would be the main focus of the book. There are a TON of great recipes, but not rub recipes. The other issue is that this is the exact same book as Famous Dave’s Backroads and Side-streets. Was really excited to get this book then disappointed because I already have it. It is a great book, if you don’t have the other.

Th is is a great book I love barbeque eating and cooking it as well, this book is well written with clear instructions,the barbeque always turnsout good but one of the hidden gems in this book is the sides and desserts,most of the time in alot og other cookbooks they appear to be after thoughts not this time,this time they are awesome and can stand with any dish you prepare.If you like a well rounded cook book with alot of interesting recipes this book is for you.

I had ordered multiple copies for gifts. The cookbooks were all well received. I even had to give up my own copy to an eager person. Currently - I will be ordering another copy. In the future I will consider ordering this book again to give as gifts that friends and family will actually appreciate. The book includes many of Famous Dave's delicious famous restaurant recipes. This book also includes very interesting stories, techniques, and tips. Very good - famous recipes with some profits going to charity - very very good!

I made the beef brisket & Wilbur beans over the Labor Day weekend, while making it I thought a couple of the steps were senseless but still followed the recipes to a tee. Both were excellent, maybe there is a method to there madness. Only one thing I did different, when it comes to wrapping the brisket in foil and putting back on the grill at 200 degrees for three hours, I bumped the grill up to 235 degrees to make it fork tender.

Bought for my dad. He loves Famous Daves. He said the book is great and he can't wait to try the recipes.

This book clearly explains the process of BBQ, plus offers stories and tips from the author. Delicious recipies, fun decorating ideas for parties, and trade secrets.

Famous Dave's books are as good as his chain of fine BBQ places. I own many BBQ books but there are more ideas in a Famous Dave's book than anywhere else.
