I stumbled across these floats a couple of years ago while looking for a compact float for a bushcraft fishing kit and ever since I started using them I've been impressed. As I have a nation of different 'hobo' handlines, telescopic 'pen' rods and other types of very compact fishing systems I like to make them as versatile as possible with a variety of hooks, weights, lures and the ability to fish under a float. Since each float is tiny it fits into the inside of a hobo handline and multiple E-Z Trout floats can be carried in place of one 'normal' stick or bubble float. As the floats have a fixing rod running through the middle they're very easy to adjust on the line, fit or remove and the bright colours allow them to be seen even on a very dull rainy day or near dark. As well as using these floats as part of bushcraft / survival fishing kits I've also used them as a strike indicator on a fly rod - after all, that's what they are designed to be used for and I find it OK to use an EZ-float on a relatively robust set up (e.g. 10' fly rod) for reservoir or large river fishing but the added weight on the line makes the float a bit too heavy for lighter fly fishing with smaller rods. For lighter fly fishing (7'-8' rods) on small rivers I'd advise going for the floating putty type of strike indicator which can be made to your desired size and weight as that will cast much better then an EZ-Trout float but for heavier set ups the float works very well. I've featured these floats in many Youtube videos on my 'Thousand Yard Stare' YouTube channel and would recommend them without hesitation.

Ne vous fiez pas à la photo donnée par amazon représentant un paquet noir comportant 36 flotteurs, il n'y aura ici que 4 flotteurs, 2 jaunes et 2 verts (alors que la couleur indiquée est jaune. Donc la seule information correcte est taille : 4 pack et le nombre de pièces 4, même si on peut penser qu'il s'agit d'un pack de 4x9 vu qu'il y en a 36 sur la photo. Sauf que du coup, ça n'est plus du tout une affaire 4 flotteurs pour ce prix là, 3,36 € le bout de polystyrène peint et quelques trucs en plastique pour tenir le fil, ça fait cher au kilo. Ces bouchons sont très pratiques mais la peinture se dégrade assez vite. C'est pour ça que je pensais en avoir commandé 36 d'ailleurs.. Un grand merci à ceux qui ont choisi la photo qui ne corresponds pas au produit vendu par amazon.

A good selection of floats easy to use

I like it as it is very Bright in the water. But, while using a Rubber Lure with 0.5 gram sinker the whole float could not be seen on the surface. Returned the item.
