Kingpin Cooling KPx Thermal Grease Review
If you're in the market for a thermal paste that delivers exceptional performance with all-in-one (AIO) liquid coolers, look no further than Kingpin Cooling KPx Thermal Grease. I've used several thermal pastes over the years, but KPx stands out as a premium option that truly lives up to its reputation. One of the first things you'll notice when using KPx is how easily it spreads. Whether you're applying it for a fresh CPU install or reapplying for maintenance, the consistency is perfect—not too runny, not too thick. This makes achieving an even, thin layer across the CPU surface a breeze, ensuring optimal thermal transfer. When paired with my AIO cooler, the KPx thermal grease delivered stellar results. My CPU temperatures stayed impressively low, even under heavy loads during gaming and productivity tasks. Compared to other pastes I've tried, KPx has consistently given me a noticeable drop in temps, keeping my system cool and stable during intense workloads. This paste isn't just about performance—it also has long-lasting durability. Once applied, I can trust it to maintain its effectiveness over time without requiring frequent reapplications. In short, Kingpin Cooling KPx Thermal Grease is a game-changer for anyone looking to maximize the performance of their cooling setup. Whether you're an enthusiast pushing the limits or just want reliable thermal performance, KPx delivers on all fronts. Highly recommended!

Solid thermal paste. Easy to work with. Good temps.
Needed new thermal paste for both my CPU and GPU. KPx applied easily — not too thick or runny, spreads clean. Great performance. Temps under full AIDA64 load: Ryzen 7 5800X3D (240mm AIO): 83°C RTX 3080 Ti: 69°C core, 80°C hotspot, 80°C memory junction No thermal spikes. No instability. Fixed random crashes I was chasing for weeks (any reputable paste would have fixed this for me to be fair) From what I know, this paste won’t dry out fast and resists pump-out. If anything changes, I’ll update. But right now? Solid pick. I also considered Arctic MX-6 (better price to performance) and Thermal Grizzly Duronaut (probably lasts longer). This had faster shipping for me so I went with it. Happy so far.

Great results
The package comes with the syringe and a spreader. I replaced the stock thermal compound on my AIO, and re-pasted my 4 years old GPU die. The spreader does take some getting used to. The grease itself doesn't have high viscosity at room temperature so it's relatively easy to apply. Saw some pretty big improvements, CPU temp down by ~9 degrees Celsius, and a massive 30 degrees Celsius improvement on my GPU hotspot. My GPU used to hit 105 at the hotspot and thermal throttle, but now the hotspot stays only about 10 degrees higher than the average. I'm currently max overclocking this trooper, and it doesn't even break 75 at 350w power consumption. Very worthwhile purchase, definitely recommend if you're still running stock thermal compounds.

Best thermal compound I've ever used.
For those of you looking for a great thermal compound look no further. This compound is great for a couple of reasons and I will explain. First some history. I have to use many types of compound in the 20 years I've been building computers. I used to use Arctic silver. Then I used a ceramic based compound which worked well and didn't dry out like the Arctic silver can. Kpx compound won't dry out either. The application is a little more of a pain but it's worth it if you do it correctly. I originally heard of this compound watching a YouTuber that does extreme overclocking with liquid nitrogen. You may be thinking there's no point to using it if it's for liquid nitrogen but you'd be wrong. The same reasons that make it extremely good for liquid nitrogen because it can pull heat away from whatever you're overclocking at a consistent amount with a small amount of compound also works at your normal operating temperature. It is extremely efficient. I did some before temperature testing with my personal computer, both the CPU and GPU as I repasted both. I tested the CPU temp using cinebench R15 and the GPU using heaven benchmark. CPU: Ryzen 5600x with precision boost overdrive turned on. Fan speed 70% at 70c CPU before Kpx temp avg 76c CPU after Kpx temp avg 71c GPU MSI 2080 Super Gaming X Trio, fan speed 70% at 70c. GPU before Kpx temp avg 71c GPU after Kpx temp avg 69c Now it doesn't look like much of a drop but it's significant for just thermal compound. Also on its own without changing any of the fan settings it is making it cooler and the system is running quieter because the fans run slower than before. Second, this allowed me to change my fan curve for both CPU and GPU to allow the fans to run at the same noise level as they were before, faster, but at a lower temperature. I don't mind a little noise. Now take a look at THOSE temps. CPU temp avg with Kpx, 70% fan speed at 65c 60c GPU temp avg with Kpx 70% fan speed at 65c 66c Those are great temps for a CPU and GPU. This compound is even better than I thought it would be I am extremely satisfied with it.
