Cool Pedal Steel Licks for Guitar

If you want to sound like a steeler, BUY this book! The licks start out short, and get progressively longer up to full solos in a few different styles: Blues, traditional country, country rock, and some jazz as well. It's definitely starting to show up in my normal playing and I'm happy about that. I just wish the fingerings for the left hand were more detailed for some of the longer licks. However they are very detailed at the start, and I guess those are the guidelines you should follow. Make sure you get it with the cd, and don't move on to the next lick until you have mastered the one before it.(unless you are just frustrated out of your mind.) I like to break the licks up into parts and practice the tough parts till I get it down.

Good book for learning how to get some faux steel guitar sounds from your standard guitar. Play these licks with a volume pedal and maybe a tremolo for added effect.
