Poor design for removing dead bugs
I placed this where the instructions dictated - away from other lights, away from any breeze, about six feet high. Mosquitoes were zooming by us in the living room, but none of them went into this trap. I gave it five days. The biggest issue is the poor design. To even see if it's working, and every time you might want to clean out any existing dead bugs, you have to unscrew two tiny recessed screws at the bottom and pull it apart, then screw it back together. There should simply be an easy slide-out tray. Returning it.

Not impressed
It attracts the bugs alright, but it doesn't zap them. I've had it for a week almost and I haven't noticed any significant effects. I've seen many bugs inside, but they're all just flying around trying to figure out how to get out. I'm assuming they just get tired and eventually die in there. But I dont hear it zapping anything. Kind of disappointed.Came back to deduct another star. When I originally saw this product the reviews were better. For some reason this now shows fewer reviews and completely different. I only purchased this because it originally showed good reviews and thier were definitely alot more then what it currently shows. WTF?I've added a picture of what I thought I was ordering, which shoes better ratings then what I recieved.

Going to keep trying
So far it hasn't done anything for me and it has been a week. I have seen a couple of baby flies in it but that's all. I keep it where I have fly issues and plug it in a night when it is pitch black. It is well built and I will keep it going at night. Makes a nice night light too. If anything changes I will update the post. The temperatures may be effecting how it works or just the fact that it is a fly issue and the light may work better on mosquitoes. I know when I use fly strips it takes awhile and its like after there are a couple of flies on it they are all attracted and start sticking to them. I am not going to say I would not recommend it yet but I wouldn't go out of my way to recommend it either.

Very disappointing for house fly problem
Doesn’t do well to zap house flies. Opening the door to let my dogs out makes a gateway for flies. I set this up near the door where they hang out. No change. When I went to see if it had helped at all...I realized you have to unscrew the bottom to clean it out. This is such a hassle. I also realized that the bottom of the bulb had a crack clear up half of the light. I don’t know if this caused the ineffectiveness, but after 4 days, there should be no reason for this to have happened. It may have been there when I opened it. I’m not sure though. I huge waste of money for house flies. I’ll go back to the cheap and sticky fly paper.

Didn’t work for us
This didn’t work. We had a fly and fruit fly infestation at the same time. You would think it would have attracted at least a couple of them as we put it in the main spot flies fo by our sink. Left it on day and night, elevated above the counter as instructed. I saw a fruit fly fly into it and fly back out, it was just stunned on the counter for a few seconds, wasn’t even dead. I would not recommend this product. one star is for easy return. We found the source of the flies was the sack of potatoes by the sink. Once we got rid of that they went away.

Waste of money
What a waste of money. The kids left the door open and now there are dozens of mosquitos in the house. I had hoped that this would eliminate them, but the UV light is dim and I have yet so see a single insect be drawn to it. Construction wise, it looks good, it was also a good price. None of these things matter if it can’t accomplish its primary function.Severely disappointed in this product, I’m trying to understand how it got selected as Amazon’s Choice.

Great Indoor/Outdoor Zapper
Bug zapper arrived in good condition and on date promised. Set up not required; simply plug in electrical outlet. Nice that zapper is quiet and can be used indoors and outdoors. We placed it in the garage to zap flying insects. We've only had the zapper for a day and so far it's killed 1 moth. We'll give it a couple of days to attract additional insects. The price is reasonable and I might order another one for the front porch. Highly recommend this bug zapper.

not twist cap
I don't really want to be a hater of this but I didn't realize when I ordered it required a mini screwdriver to remove the tray. That is just not convenient as you almost have to turn it upside down to screw and unscrew possibly dumping anything inside all over. Tried screwing them in while holding up but screws did not attach as well as when it was upside down. If you want a twist cap tray then chose another bugzapper.
