Best I've ever had.
What I like about this tape measure ruler is it is easy to read, and read from farther away than before. It's very durable, easy to control. The tip staying straight is one of the main problems for any ruler user,(that's what she said) it needs to keep It's integrity too be able to grab on to ends and push against items for proper measurements. This does that and then some. If you already don't, you should have a whole line of this model. Donating my dozen of others.

Best tape measure yet
Good visibility. Tape snaps back strong, so a little concerned about breaking the end off over time. I'm used to other brand that I have to help pull back. Best tape I've had, always in search of "prefect".

It's a pretty good tape measure but not a fatmax
It's a tape they are all about the same most features on tapes are gimmicks but I think this one was pretty well designed. the blade is very easy to read and the finger brake is a great addition due to its natural location. Lock feels like it will last and not wear out soon. However it's no fatmax in terms of blade stiffness. The standout is pretty far but no where near as stable as my decade old fatmax is. The 360 hook on the end I feel is just ok at the 90° sides and a bit better upside down. They really only grab on straight cuts. Anything with a radius or something they won't grab well especially if the object is vertical and tape horizontal. Not really a knock on the product cause most tapes haven't changed the hook in decades. I think the best thing of this tape is the easy to read blade. Still a recent purchase but I feel like I'd always prefer a fatmax for just a few dollars more but still a nice back up tape for the junk drawer or glove box.

Does it Really Matter? Well, Consider This!
Perfect tape measure for USA with inch measurements on BOTH sides. It's bright, clear, accurate, and has large uncluttered markings. And it's not some funky shape with a bizarre distance from where the tape enters the case and, say, a wall behind the case. It is EXACTLY 3-1/4 ". No running the tape up the wall and guessing. Just pull the case up to the wall and add 3-1/4. The hook is deeper than most AND rises up above the tape too. This is great for pressing it against a wall as the design of the hook usually stops it from sliding through a gap between the bottom of a wall board and the floor. This tape has only two down sides you should know. First it's a bit bulky. Second, the hook is too tall and/or the tape too wide to fit through some tight places. Every once in a while I have to get out my old narrow wimpy tape with inferior markings when I need to get the hook into a tight place.

Didn’t hold up
Had this for 4 years. After moderate use the locking mechanism wouldn’t work and then finally broke. It’s impossible to trap the tape end if you have any sort of work gloves on (I wear mechanics). Overall - don’t buy. Go get a dewalt or Milwaukee.

Great price and like the graphics, really easy on the eyes!
Lufkin is a leader in the tape measure business! Should get years out of use measuring stuff with this!

Flimsy Tape
Get a fat max tape instead. Cool looking but it’s an older model so the foot marks aren’t lit in green for the 12” 24” etc like I expected. Go to ace and get the newer model because it’s easier to read and all the foot marks are distinguished. Tape is hard to extend out and is flimsy over three feet out if you’re reaching it out. Let the tape retract in from 15’ and it cracked it. Also the extra over hook is too good and gets caught on your fingers. Cool looking. Unique. Great for old guy who needs a tape easy to read but don’t expect longevity under daily construction use. I got the 8’ baby tape version and I’d highly recommend it because its 8’ compared to 6’ Milwaukee counterpart and the flimsy tape is not an issue on the smaller one.

The large green bold numbers really stand out against a flat black background
I’m as blind as a bat without my glasses so I love the large green numbers against the matte finish, not glossy, black background. I am not a builder so I would use it for standard measurements of areas. At first I could see what others were complaining about getting the tape measure free from the packaging. Then I got a clue from one person that mentioned removing the paper from the back over the spring clip.As you can see in the digital photo for me it was easier to remove the tape measure by holding the packaging upside down with one hand (although I had to use that hand to take the digital) and using my other hand’s middle finger to raise the spring clip free from the post, that held it in place, while gripping the edge of the plastic mount with my index finger and thumb and pulling it upwards to free it from the tape measure. (It was the post causing the problem, not the glue, as someone stated.)After doing it a number of times my middle finger was sore and I found that I could use another method and brace the end top of the packaging against my chest while freeing the clip. Problem solved. Packaging approved from my point of view. Good security packaging. All light conditions? Not quite (They display a moon and a sun on the packaging. It is not fluorescent or luminescent. I tested it with a short wavelength black light from Amazon: no glow). Then I figured, who would measure in the dark?! Although for lower light conditions the glow would be nice.
