I loved the idea of no monthly cell phone charges and no contract! Paying for a year of service just makes sense to me, in every way. I don’t use my phone to call and just chat with someone, it’s used as a tool to navigate, gather important weather info, and to be there for me incase of an emergency. This phone satisfies all these criteria and much more if I choose to use all its applications, and if my income drops, then no worries I still will have my phone and use of it for a year! while the description of the phone states it comes with 1200 min 4 talk +1200 min 4 text upon activation it was 1500 min 4 talk +1500 min 4 text. as i needed to upgrade to a 4g phone they also let me keep my phone # + existing min from the old phone.do not hesitate to make this purchase if you own a 3g phone! outstanding value as the 1 year renewal card with 1500 min talk +1500 min text is $125.00 +tax.

I have phone with over 3000 minutes. I thought I would buy newer tracfone model smart phone advertised w/1200-1200 and try it out.I got phone and have tried for 2 days(approx. 4-6hrs total)to get activated to no avail. blood pressure went from118/65 to 170/93 while communicating this desire with TracFone. I even tried (and did)purchase airtime and still haven't gotten a new number that works. they would not honor the 1200-1200 as advertised on amazon. they said I didn't have a airtime card with product so no 1200-1200. I talked with 3 different people at TracFone, so far nothing works.disgusted is the way I feel....

I bought this phone for my daughter and it’s been perfect! She charges it at night and it lasts all day. She’s dropped it a handful of times and it has yet to break. It’s been a great way to teach her how to budget as well. She uses her allowance to reload it when she’s out of texts/minutes. Needless to say, We are very happy with this purchase!

I like the fact that it was easy to set up through tracfone and the phone is easy to use. Also the super low price for the one year of service which included the phone.

UPDATE 11.23.2020--I said I would update, so here it is: Very pleased! TF did follow through and automatically added all the minutes, texts, and data that came with this package. This, on top of all 8000 minutes, texts and data that was ported over from my old 3G TF. Still sad that they couldn't port my old TF number to this new device, that's kind of a big deal because they always advertise they can do that. But not so in my case. (But cheers to another 10 years with my new number!)I tried to activate my new Tracfone Rebel 4 4G LTE via the automated TF customer service phone number. After waiting the recommended 24 hours, it still was not activated, so I called TF live CS. Three lengthy phone calls later (totaling over 90 minutes of talk time, NOT HOLD time), it was resolved that I could NOT port my old TF number to this device. So after 10 years of having the same phone number, I now have a new number. (Note, it wasn't because of a zip code change, and both old and new numbers have the same area code.)Issue two: I had substantial (i.e. over 8000 minutes) to transfer over from my old device. It appears the minutes DID transfer over, but with an end date of 11.22.2020 (yes, 20 days from today), while the new Rebel device itself has a new service end date of 11.22.2021. Confusing. See pic. Ugh.TF customer service has assured when 11.22.2020 arrives, the 1200 MIN/1200 Text/1200MB that came with this new device will automatically be added to the 11.22.2021 end date. Time will tell. I will update with a glowing review if indeed it all happens.I gave the phone itself a solid 5 star rating. Unfortunately this phone goes hand in hand with the frustration of dealing with the TF company.

1. When I swipe to outer circle when answering calls, most of the time I lose the caller. I end up calling them back frustrated.2. battery life- I must keep phone off to save some battery life. I have as many apps turned off as possible so they aren't running in the background to save some battery when the phone is on.3. this is my first experience with a smartphone. I am a flip phone user which isn't the phones fault. It is a challenge and learning experience.

HORRIBLE!! I get 15+ spam texts per day and ~6-8 spam/scam calls. So many that i now dont have service anymore because all my texts/mins and have to reload money. Absolutely horrible!!
