Works well and easy to install but it is too early to tell what battery life will be

THis is 3rd battery from this vendor. First lastest about a year. Second latest about 3 years. Hoping this one goes for 3 years or more too. It's has 33% higher capacity then the first two so here's hoping. Vacuum appears to run strong and lasts for the 1/2 hour or so that I need to vacuum almost daily (we have 2 cats) and there's still 1 of 3 lights of power remaining. Takes 3 small phillips head screws to take out and replace - really simple (but I'm fairly mechanically inclined). Would buy again if need and available and V8 still running. BTW/FYI - saw one previous review - something like "it burned up my motor". First it's the same factory voltage battery, the AH rating is just how much juice it holds. Second, maybe it was running in high vacuum vs. normal setting - that definitely heats up the motor and may cause it to burn out.

Came with the filter and hepa insert, which is nice. Fits well.The old battery from the same vendor died after being used one and half year, which is kind of ok. After battery dissaembly, I found that 1 cell out of 6 failed.

Update: battery doesn’t hold charge almost at all after 10 months but I guess it’s 5 times cheaper than original and definitely gives longer time for vacuuming.Easy to install, fits perfectly. The wall charger is not fitting 100% but 99% so it requires just slightly more push or pull.Battery lasts for 30 min at full power

When my Dyson animal battery died, I reached out to Dyson. They said it couldn’t be fixed but they would offer me a discount on a new one. I was shocked to see how cost effective the replacement batteries were so I purchased one. I figured it would be better to try it! It’s AMAZING. First there are only 3 screws to remove the old one & replace with the new one. It’s a snap to do. A bit dirty taking the old one off. I charged it for several hours as a youtube video suggested & I don’t plug it it fir at least 20 minutes after use. They suggested the battery should cool prior to charging. The charge last longer than the original & it is at least as strong on the suction or better. If you are considering go fir it! You’ll be happy you did!

Battery is NOT the same as the one pictured in the sellers listing and does NOT work correctly with Dyson V8 Animal+ stick vacuum. After we charged the battery fully, the vacuum turns on immediately after removing it from the charger without even touching the trigger. You cannot get the vacuum to turn off until it's put back on the charger, then it will turn off. The pictures show the difference between our original battery and the one sent. Compare the new battery with what is in the sellers listing pictures - they are not the same! Now I have to package this back up and return. What a pain!!!

I was concerned about ordering an off-brand battery - not an official Dyson battery - however, the battery that I ordered fits perfectly and comes with replacement filter bag. I have had it for 3+ weeks and the battery is doing its job. What a price difference between ordering this on Amazon and the Dyson official replacement battery. Thanks to the seller for offering this. I would have thrown away my Dyson battery operated vacuum if I could not have found a reasonable priced battery.
