I have ALOT of chlorine in my water. Im not exaggerating when I say I could smell it when I turned the water on! I would take showers at my boyfriends because I didn't want to ruin my hair, which I pay good money to get done, nevermind dry out my skin. I finally said "Enough!" and looked on Amazon for a water filter for my existing shower head. After reading the reviews, I decided to spend the extra money on this model. I am so glad I did! So easy to install...and I'm not plumbing-handy folks. I didn't even need tools...except to remove my existing shower head. Instructions were very straightforward with diagrams included for each step. From the very first shower my skin and hair felt softer. And absolutely no chlorine smell! Increased my water pressure by 100+%. Yes, it did gobble up hot water. But the water never got cold, or even tepid, and my water heater caught up pretty quickly. Ladies, if you shave in the shower like I do, this shower head is GREAT! The lather on your legs stays longer, firstly. Secondly, the best water pressure is about 12" away from the head. What a change from having to hold the razor up at the head to get a decent rinse!! Guys, that might come in handy for y'all too. You won't regret buying this!

We live in a suburb of a mid-sized city and we have city water. We have lived in this house for 35 years. I have fine, straight hair and had noticed a few weeks ago that my hair was getting incredibly tangled in the shower. My conditioner seemed like it had completely stopped working. I had even switched to a different conditioner but there was no improvement. I had to painfully drag a wide tooth comb through my hair after washing it and was just getting tired of it. Finally, it occurred to me that it might be our water.We have always had hard water and I have struggled against orangey-pink scale and staining in our showers and sinks for years. But for some reason, this summer the water seems even harder. So I ordered this filtered shower head to test my theory.Our son installed it last night and took my first shower with it this morning. My hair is so much better and a comb went right through it afterwards. I think we may need to order filters more often if our water quality doesn’t improve, but just relieved to find an inexpensive solution.

Update 6/21/22 :I have been using this shower head and filter for just over a year now and what I can say is it still does a good job of delivering water pressure but I'm not sure how well it actually softens the water seeing as how over the past year my hair has become increasingly damaged from hard water and I noticed hard water buildup on the actual showerhead itself. I'm still fairly pleased with the shower head I would just say maybe it's not a water softener as much as it is a filter.I have very hard water and horrible water pressure in my current rental. I've also noticed over the past 3 years that I've been here that my hair is changing texture. I finally realized it may be the hard water so thought I'd look into it. I've only showered twice so far with this but based on the water pressure alone it was completely worth it. This is the THIRD showerhead I've bought since moving in and the previous two(non-filtering), while they were better (pressure-wise) than what came with the place, are completely left in the dust by this showerhead. It's like a waterfall coming down on me and I actually like my shower now. As for the water you can definitely tell it's softer. It feels soft but not slimy like some showers I've taken with really soft water. I'm hoping this will help with my hair texture, it does feel better but only time will tell. If I notice a huge difference I will update my post. I think it's a real bargain for the price as it comes with an extra filter. Putting it up was easy peasy.

I don’t know what to do. i’m 72 years old and needed more water pressure but this hurts me it’s so strong. It stings my body when i shower. I see the pressure or sprayer is not adjustable. Is my only option to return it? i love everything else about it! Stinging Granny in Charleston haha

I have hard water and it’s wrecked havoc on my naturally wavy, thick, coarse and dyed hair.Since I’ve installed this shower head, my hair is so much softer and easier to manage.My skin is less dry and my tub doesn’t have the hard water build up it once did.I actually run the shower to fill the tub when I want to bathe because there’s no filter on the actual faucet and I’ve liked the results of this shower head.Easy to install. Seemingly well made.

I took a shower in my friend's guest bathroom and it was hands down the BEST water softness and pressure I've EVER felt. I immediately asked her about it and she told me it was this product. After ordering it and installing it in my guest bathroom, all my house guests would rather line up and wait to take a shower in my half-decorated guest bathroom with this shower head instead of in my beautiful renovated main bathroom! (The only reason I am not able to install this in the main bedroom is because it's a handheld shower head. So sad! I wish they would make one that works for the handheld shower heads too!)It was extremely easy to install to my surprise! There was a slight leakage in the filter part, but that seemed to have resolved itself over some time (although they do also provide some plumber's tape that would have resolved that as well...)
