Neewer 24 inches/60 centimeters Octagon Softbox with Bowens Mount Speedring and Bag for Speedlite Studio Flash Monolight,Portrait and Product Photography

I put it together in just a couple minutes and took a few portraits immediately. Yes it takes a little finesse but not really as hard as some reviews are claiming. Just be sure to follow the video instructions. Nice sturdy softbox and the Bowens fit firmly on my Neewer Vision5 strobe. Light dispersed/diffused evenly for some really great outdoor portraits.All in all a great value again from Neewer. My only complaint is that the outer diffuse doesn't include Velcro but I easily added my own to keep it securely fastened while shooting.

I am new in this filed so can't compare the softbox to anything else. Based on my research it is one of the most affordable octoboxes of this size with bowels mount included. Quality of the box itself seems pretty good. Product comes with removable internal and external diffusers, which is pretty good - one of the reasons I did not get an umbrella version. Easy to mount to a studio strobe or to a mount holder for external flash. Softbox comes with "thank you" card where 1 year warranty mentioned. Downside, as some people already mentioned - no assembly instructions. I just youtubed it and it wasn't hard to put everything together. I did not have a chance to test so might add more later. I've been shooting with light modifiers since 2004. Lots of experience with softboxes of all sorts. This is the smallest octobox, and one of the smallest softboxes, I've ever used. I haven't done portrait photography in years, focusing now on products, and this is a great size for my desktop scale shoots. But the ribs are very stiff for their length, so it's hard to get it assembled. Maybe 20% thinner steel would be great for this application. This gauge is great for longer ribs in larger boxes, because it's easier to bend a longer member of the same cross section. I have a home machine shop so I may end up modifying the bracket to make them easier to get in. As it is it won't benefit me much to take it apart as it's so cumbersome to assemble (again, compared to other boxes I've used over the years, and currently own) and my time is limited. But so is storage space, so breaking it down would be good.Light characteristics are good for what it is. It's a short box, front-to-back, so even diffusion can be an issue more than with deeper boxes, but this is more portable and takes up less space on set. It's a trade-off to be aware of.

I have assembled and reassembled over and over. The level of difficulty of this thing is outrageous. As it gets tighter, it looks like it will rip as the threads are pushed beyond their capabilities. I have been trying to assemble this thing for over 30 mins now and I still feel like it is going to break or I am going to hurt myself.

Less than $30? How can you beat it? And I'm really impressed with its build quality. Seems really sturdy and looks to me like it will last a long time. Comes with a beefy Bowens mount that fit my little COB LED light perfectly with no issues. It's a great addition to my kit. I read the reviews before I purchased and was a little concerned that it would be difficult to build. But it took me less than 10 minutes, probably closer to 5 actually to build it from scratch out of the box. Wasn't anywhere near as hard as people were leading me to believe in the reviews. I just watched the video on Amazon beforehand and had no issues. Because it is on the small side(which I wanted for this light), I plan on just keeping it built. Shouldn't be an issue traveling with it to shoots as it is. BUt if I needed to break it down I could. Just might need that 5 minutes to rebuild it on set. Not a big deal to me.I'm also pleasantly happy with the diffusion it is giving to the light. Especially for a soft box this size. I'm using both layers of diffusion and think it will be perfect for interviews in tight places.Overall I think this is a no-brainer, especially for the price. I don't see how you can go wrong with this purchase.

Great product once it’s set up. The set up process was a pain and the instructions aren’t very descriptive.Overall happy the with purchase.

A little difficult to set up. Reflection umbrella support bars bent from pressure on first use, have to keep bending back or someday bend them all a little as to not have a flat spot on one side. Slightly top-heavy, suggest a little wider legs or weight the feet if you're moving around the light and cameras quickly. No heat issues, good light for warm and daylight tones. Good portability and comes with shell and umbrella refractor.

this soft box fastens right over the front screen of my strobe. the rodding wasn't the easiest to get together but I think it's just built that way. But the good thing is I'll only have to do it once and it's kept its octagon shape. It completely reduces the heaviness from it and it excreets out into a softer light and tone with the double layers of diffusion.

I ordered this because it’s a reasonable price and it looks like it would do the job. I do a lot of high key photography and it has just helps so much going to the manufacturer of my lights and getting one of these is in the hundreds and it would be exactly the same, so if you’re looking for one, I guarantee it you buy it and you won’t be sorry I am a professional photographer that uses all sorts of equipment, and I found this manufacturer to be very reliable in their equipment

The media could not be loaded.  Setup was a little harder than the video, but go there in the end. I haven't used it properly, so i gave brightness a middle rating. However, brightness is also affected by flash power.

Jag kunde omöjligen montera denna. Blev en reva i tyget då jag tog i för mycket. Blev till slut tvungen att kapa pinnarna för att överhuvudtaget få ihop den. Jag hade uppenbarligen slarvat att läsa tidigare recensioner där detta framgår.

Tijdens het in elkaar zetten scheurde de naden al uit. Ook zijn de aluminium staafjes direct gebogen, terwijl ik maar minimaal kracht zette... Zeer teleurstellend.

La verdad es que por 30€ esperaba otra cosa mucho más inferior, tiene unos acabados que si no le miras la marca y la ves montada no piensas que es neewer. Base de alumino y las varillas con terminaciones en metal por lo que nunca se van a salir las puntas perforando la pantalla.El montaje es todo lo sencillo que es el montaje de una ventana de este tipo, si estás buscando portabilidad quizá no es la más apropiada porque andar montando y desmontando se puede hacer tedioso y por experiencia con otras, aunque sean de marcas de primera, se terminan rompiendo. Aunque es solo de 60cm, que a las malas te entra montada en el maletero; pero está más pensada para estudio y no moverla mucho.Por lo general si necesitas una ventana octogonal de 60cm está muy bien.
