Good Buy
I bought this set on DVD to replace 2 VCR tapes. I wanted a great copy to remember Mr. Eastwood when he is no longer with us. All three DVD were great to watch again. It was a great buy for me.

Quick Delivery. Content Great. Quality is not true BD. Very good price.
MWNN Trilogy. 20th Century Fox Home Video release. This trilogy is a classic. I have seen many times and never get tired of watching it. The acting, directing, soundtrack and storyline are all 5 star! The price was very good. However, here is my technical review:I have all three titles on DVD but wanted to have higher quality Blu-ray.Although stated as a 2014 remastered release, TGTBTU has a 2014 date, so that may be so. However, the other two (FFD and FFDM) both have a 2010 date. None of the titles appear to be remastered to full Blu-ray quality, but quality varies. The DTS-HD 5.1 audio is very good. However, the video quality varies as follows:1. FFD - This title seems to be nothing more that a transfer from DVD to Blu-ray, and in comparing to the DVD version, I was not able to discern any difference in video quality. Doesn't appear to be remastered.2.FFDM - This title is slightly better than DVD quality. Doesn't seem to be remastered. However, it appears some attempt was made to sharpen the video, which appears slightly better than the DVD. However, this sharpening introduces some graininess and video "noise" to the move. Still very watchable, but not true Blu-ray quality.3. TGTBTU - This title has a newer production date than the previous two (both 2010). It is slightly sharper than the DVD, but without the graininess. Close-up and nearby shots are good but background is no better than DVD quality, especially on open range and distant shots. With that said, the cost of this trilogy was very good. However, as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. If you are not expecting true Blu-ray quality, you won't be disappointed. I suppose truly remastered version might be available on the market, but likely at a higher cost.In summary, I give the content a strong 5 stars. Video quality, 3 stars at best. Does not appear to be remastered from the source, or if they were, not the best remastering I have seen.

Great edition
A lot of extra material and excellent Blu-Ray quality worth every penny. And yes, Blu-Ray > streaming. Streaming is more convenient but if on movie nights at home you want to watch in the highest possible quality for regular person, this is your choice. Recommended!

Classic Clint
The three classic Clint Eastwood spaghetti westerns at a great price, looking good on blu-ray.Spaghetti westerns aren’t to everyone’s taste, but these three movies from master of the genre Sergio Leone really transcend the form, and it’s no wonder these small European productions became a global phenomenon and turned Clint Eastwood into a pop culture icon.As you’d expect from 1960s movies, the picture quality isn’t up to modern standards, but these remastered versions have never looked better and stand up well on a 4K TV.All three discs come with extras. For the first two movies this basically consists of some dude showing his poster collection. However, the disc for the more “epic” The Good, the Bad and the Ugly contains more extensive material, including short documentaries with interviews with the movie’s stars (minus Van Cleef, who sadly died before this remastered version came out).At the current (13 dollar) price on Amazon, this set is excellent value for money.

MWNN multi format Blu ray
The films are great. See elsewhere for info on those. This version is one slightly thicker Blu ray case containing 3 blu rays discs with one movie each on them, for about twelve bucks. That’s a great deal for four great, rewatchable, even dare I say “therapeutic” films. I was nervous about what I’d receive for that price but it was exactly what I had hoped for.

I watched the newly released remastered version of "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly" last night
I watched the newly released remastered version of "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly" last night.. Leone's brilliant Prequel to the "man with no name" trilogy.I must have seen every version of this film beginning with US theater versions and VHS versions ever since the 1970's... I have to say this new 4k scan made from the original camera negative and not some inter-negative or cobbled parts of prints is superb... the best the movie has ever looked... even Theater versions I have seen.I have two other Bluray versions that were remastered, but they were done in a HD 1080p scan and not 4k scan, and were made from corrected prints and not the direct camera negative... they can not compare. in addition to the new resolution, there is some very interesting framing that has never existed (except for the Italian original release)... there is a lot of new frame area round the tops and bottoms and more notably the left and right sides. this doesn't reveal any additional really important images, but it does reset the layout to something more akin to Leone's original vision... and I do agree it looks much better. More relaxed and much less compressed, which is great even though we have all gotten used to the cropped tight image that we've been accustomed to over the years of seeing this movie.there is one element that is controversial... it is the "TINT" of the movie. the movie has a very distinct yellow tint to the image... something that no one foresaw, but it has been confirmed that this "yellowish tint" as being Leone's original vision... and combined with the additional framing area, restores the directors idea for the movie.Overall I have to say that this movie benefits greatly from this 4k scan as many of the scenes actually come alive with depth and dimension almost to the point where they look three dimensional.

Videos very grainy - but not a problem for me.
This is a review of this package, not of the movies, the quality of which I'm sure you already know.Anyway, I was disappointed at how grainy all three movies were, I found them almost unwatchable. What I couldn't understand is that these seem to be the extended editions (e.g. TGTBTU with the Tuco chicken soup scene), which means that the print they're taken from can't be very old?Anyway, on the bright side I had bought these Blu-rays with the intention of ripping them to a Plex media server I'm setting up. After ripping I ran them through Handbrake with the NLmeans denoising filter: (parameters Strong, Film tuning). So ripping took a lot longer than planned but all three movies came up beautifully. I have bought these movies countless times over the years, finally I have definitive high quality versions! (especially after I chopped out the superfluous extra scenes using VideoRedo!).

I'm afraid I don't get it
I'd never seen any of these films, but I have friends who raved about them. Having now seen them, courtesy of this collection, my only reaction is - WHY? "Fistful" was amusingly different from all previous cowboy films I'd seen, in spite of the improbabilities, and was worth seeing for the novelty. By the time I got part-way through "Few Dollars More", the joke had well and truly worn off. It degenerated into an improbable shootfest with a vast body count in place of any sort of believable plot. And "Good,Bad, Ugly" was merely bad and ugly. I guess I'm simply not the audience for these films. To add to this, the actual screen on my TV was a tiny size. I realise that these are oldish films, but surely they could have been brought into the modern age.

Three awesome films, but a slight disc issue with one.
Great films, great restorations to BD. Appreciate the extra scenes and the docs, especially the "What the scene looks like now" clip. Fascinating. These films hark back to a day when films were made for sitting back and enjoying. They allowed for build-up, characterization and genuine story-telling. These films are art. But they are art with a fantastic soundtrack that Leone worked on with Ennio Morricone. He knew beforehand what sort of epic grandiose look he wanted, and he also knew how they should sound.I would have given it five stars but the "Good The Bad & The Ugly" is a little temperamental when booting and going through the menu options. I've only watched the first 2 films so far so I hope the film itself is watchable all the way through.
