Dilmah Premium Ceylon Tea (200g) 100 Tea Bags

Delicious! Haven’t bought anything else since we discovered it in Australia a few years ago.

In case you didn't know, what is now known as Dilmah was an exclusive supplier of imported tea to the Soviet Union. Back there and then it was known simply as a "Ceylon Tea" (no branding allowed!). Naturally, it was only available as a loose leaf tea; teabags were only introduced on the Soviet market for the 1980 Moscow Olympics.Anyhow, let's see what we get here... At first I was set aback by the size of these teabags - they are absolutely tiny! Shrinkflation? No, not really. If you look at these bags and think "ok, let's use a 6oz cup", you're about to make Chifir. Which is fine if you want to make yourself feel like having a party in Gulag, but certainly not the best way to enjoy Dilmah. Use a 12 or 14oz cup, steep for 4 minutes, then add white cane sugar to taste. Serve with a quarter slice of lemon, paper thin. Enjoy, comrade!

My husband and I love this brand of tea bags so much because of the taste not too strong and not bitter. We have been purchased this for multiple times.

The tea itself is quite nice.-1 star because it was shipped in its original packaging so the box was crushed here and there, with some of the tea leaves "leaking" out into the interior of the box and exterior under the plastic wrapAlso note, I received my order at the beginning of July with "best by" date Sept. If you use a tea bag every single day, then you'd be fine, but I felt it was a little aggressive. I know "best by" isn't an expiration but it still left me feeling uneasy about the "freshness"

This Ceylon tea is fresh and very strong aroma, is red tea nice flavor with added milk and sugar. Note the 100 tea bags are not individually wrap, is 100 bags in a box. I just put all in a zip lock bag.

Ceylon tea has it own taste going for it. If you like it you will be a fan of this purchase forever. Truly such a mild flavor compared to Earl Gray and others. I had searched all over at Nashville's local grocery stores and had not found a single box anywhere. I wish it came in a nice tin or wooden tea box but for the money the taste is supreme and that is what is important. 5 Stars!
