Acme Projects Men's Rain Suit (Jacket + Pants), 100% Waterproof, Breathable, Taped Seam, 10000mm/3000gm, YKK Zipper

Bought two sets of these for my partner and I to do day hikes in Patagonia for three weeks. Needed rainproof jackets and pants for bad weather- These did a great job for rain protection and wind protection. Very Happy with this purchase and the results. I don't see how you can beat this quality for the price. I have purchased Columbia and other brands of rain jackets before and was disappointed at the lack of genuine rain protection. I did a lot of research this time and wanted something I could use on a single trip and be done with it. After reading the reviews, I decided to not go the route of brands like North Face and Patagonia and to give this a try since the price was so great for a combo set of jacket and pants. We had awful rain/sleet and wind conditions during out trip. The temps were mid 30s with windchills in the teens or below. These kept us very dry and were perfect as outer layers. I did not layer underneath the pants and found them adequate by themselves for the wind/temps/fain. I did layer under the jacket with tee shirt, additional light jacket etc and stayed warm and dry. The jacket hood was excellent in the horrible weather- we wore winter hats underneath the hood and ear-muffs. Tightened the hood over that and it did a great job on protecting us from wind/rain. The only things I wish these jackets and pants had were more pockets. The pants have two exterior front pockets and the jackets have two large zip protected exterior pockets. This was adequate. But, these rain suits would have been perfect if there had been a couple of additional interior pockets for the jackets. Sizing was a bit weird- I would normally take an extra large, but I went with large on these which was the right decision for me (6ft tall, 220). The jacket was fine (and I layered underneath it). The pants were a bit long for large and would have been way too long had I gone XL. Might be better to sell the pants and jackets separately for ideal fit. But, again, this was a great overall rain suit for hiking.

Fantastic rain suit. Have played golf in some downpours in this and always keeps me dry to the bone. As good or better than any of those high priced ones.

great for biking and hiking in PNW. durable, waterproof, good value. i have owned and used this rain suit for over a year. appreciate the snap and velcro reinforcement to keep zipper closed and dry. drawstrings on hood also help in downpours. adjustable velcro closure on ankle is very useful to secure around rain boots when hiking muddy forests. many ponchos and rain suits are thin and rip easily from physical exertion. these are comfortable and hold up. note that IT IS NOT BREATHABLE like water repellent products. so dress light underneath and maybe go size up if you are on the cusp. the heat you generate from physical activity will keep you plenty warm. as a chronically cold person i find myself sweating in 45° weather with high humidity and heavy rain due to trapped heat. jacket hits below hip. pants are straight fit, waist is elastic and comfortable. it’s thin enough to be comfortable and not restrict movement. i can literally 5 miles to work in a downpour and the only thing wet is my hands and face. clothes underneath are BONE DRY. exterior dries quickly. never had issue with wet through, even in 2+ hrs of heavy rain exposure. i wipe dry when possible. spray interior with isopropyl. have machine washed cold with no detergent once, worked well and did not negatively impact water proof property. i recommend this set to everyone who asks me an affordable, entry level option for no-fuss rain gear with an emphasis on performance over visuals. it’s generic, others probably accomplish the same thing at a similar price point, but this is the best of the three rain suits i have borrowed/bought, and the most comfortable.

Just used it for the first time and it came with more rain than I've ever witnessed in my life and I was able to ride home on my escooter and be completely dry underneath but my only gripe is size down if you want it to fit regularly

Other than the size I have no issue with the jacket I did go bigger because I didn’t know the pants are a little big, but I don’t care now. I can throw them over other pants or shorts or whatever I’m doing because I work for a car wash and I’m just pretty much using it for this asked for the people complaining about it being a lift and zipper You know you’re capable of using both hands right? I understand it’s a left-hand zipper but if you’re having problems zipping it up, that’s a personal problem but you’re human right you have a brain right you can use both hands I can write with both my hands you’re capable of anything if you put your mind to it so stop whining over a zipper that’s childish and immature. You know they come from China you know they’re going to have flaws you know it might not be what you expect but you’re going to whine and cry like a child. Anyway grow up awesome product guys. This works very well. I love how comfortable it is. I can’t wait to try it out at work tomorrow . If you can see my dimensions, I would recommend if you guys want a good fit go down to an extra large I got a IIx but like I said, I want to pull this outfit off before I get in my truck every night so I’m not getting my seats out But I normally wear shorts and everything but in my position at my car wash I tend to get wet because I lead the cars in I stop and where they got to be and a lot of the water and stuff from the car going through the wash behind me tends to get me wet a little so I will give a better review when I find out how waterproof they are but I was sold on a video from some Canadians trying to soak another guy with a water hose in it and if he could stay dry during that I can stay dry with a little bit of soap, splatter and water splatter on my back all Day

the suit would probably work for lighter use but In my line of work, where I'm constantly moving, bending down, and in heavy rain. The suit will not protect you from getting wet if you're in consistent medium-heavy rain for hours on end, that and I've noticed the crotch rips open every easily.

After researching many other rain gear products , I decided on Acme. I really liked the look , and after reading mostly positive reviews decided to make the purchase. I was still a little skeptical because of the low price , so my expectations were pretty low. Boy was I wrong ! The reviews were dead on ! Quality was top notch , fit was perfect, very comfortable, thanks to the reviews from others my size. I have not had a chance to use them in the rain , BUT from the quality that I see , I have no doubt it will perform as advertised!
