June Tailor Non Stick Pressing Sheet 18x18"

Works as described. Wish I had found earlier. Saves cleaning my iron a lot.

Great invention for keeping glue off your iron and ironing board when appliquéing items! A friend recommended this to me - and it has made a world of different. Great product. I put the "fusible pieces on the sheet, then fold the sheet over before pressing. Presto. Works like a charm. Any glue that leaks off the item sticks to the sheet and is easily removed by simply rubbing a finger over the sticky part.

Used in pressing appliques

There are silicone sheets that you use when baking which work great for pressing sheets. They are heavy and solid. I was expecting this June Tailor pressing sheet to be heavier, like those. It's not - very thin, warps every time I press my fusible applique onto it. But it doesn't need to remain perfectly flat - I just need to be able to see through it to lay out my pieces properly. In that sense, it did it's job. I don't imagine it'll last very long. Still, it really made the difference for the project I just finished.

I make and sell greeting cards to benefit our local libraries, and quite a few of them involve layers of fabric or fabric die-cuts. I attach my fabric to card stock using  Thermoweb 17-Inch by 5-1/4-Yard Heat'n Bond Lite Iron-on Adhesive  and the sticky stuff was adhering to my iron and ironing board.This June Tailor Non Stick Pressing Sheet now protects both my iron and ironing board cover from the iron-on adhesive. When the adhesive sticks to the pressing sheet (as it often does), I can just roll it off with my finger--no big deal. I also appreciate the transparency of the pressing sheet, as it allows me to see what I'm doing.Since the majority of my greeting cards are A2 (5.5" x 4.25") or A7 (5" x 7"), this sheet size is more than adequate for my needs and heat from the iron transfers readily through the pressing sheet. I had to use it when ironing one inch pieces of fabric to ten sisters. It worked great.

Used as cover to main fabric while adhering iron on interfacing. Iron would not glide over this product. I attempted on another piece after iron had cooled. Still was not smooth. My third attempt I used a press only motion, yet the product came away with the iron allowing everything , my fabric, my interfacing to become skewed. Ended up melting interfacing to the product. No problem, I would just rub it off. Nope, tore the product into pieces. SAVE YOUR MONEY! Buy a big fat roll of parchment paper instead.

I like that I can iron right in this and not ruin my ironing board. Was a great buy
