Game of Thrones Complete Series 1-8 Blu-ray Region Free

Great price for my favorite series. Now I'll have it forever.

This box set is incredible. 8 steelbooks, all episodes, a plethora of special features including the reunion of key cast members. It’s all here in stunning 4k glory! I missed the bus on the original release of this at Best-buy due to Covid. I was somewhat leary to try this French release, but boy, I’m glad I did! I read reviews stating that some of the discs don’t work properly, and being that I’m relying on my LG region free unit to play this, I was very concerned! Right off the bat, the first disc in season one didn’t load properly the first 3 times I tried it. I checked the other disks and they were fine. I went back to the 1st disc, wiped it with my t-shirt, and VOILA! It plays fine! The 4K transfer is wonderfully rich in sharp detail, amazing colors, and rich blacks and not murky or faded looking. Sound is just as stunning, with horse winnies, boots in snow crunches, flames flittering, etc. The box presentation is a work of art. The entire case is adorned with embossed images. There’s a foam interior that holds each steelbook firmly in place, and the steelbooks themselves are stunning to look at! If you’re a GOT fan like me, this is definitely worth the extra money! If you’re late to the party like me on this 4k release, Do yourself a favor, bite the bullet, and get this set! Just make sure your player can play it! Highly recommended!!!

This was an epic show but be warned that graphic violence, nudity, and highly suggestive sex/rape scenes just shy of an x rating and references/scenes suggesting alternative sex preferences including gay (both lesbian and homosexual), torture, sexual mutilation abound. This is NOT for little kids even though the dragon battle sequences are awesome and I was even embarrassed to watch it while my 87 year old mother was in the house. Thanks to pandemic, I was able to binge watch this show which is truly the only way you can keep track of all the various story arcs, plots, subplots, and characters. This blu-ray version was great if you don't want to splurge on the collector's edition.

There are some parts from season 4-5 like the wedding of Maryorie and king Joffre the part of Tyrion killing his father and Shay. I’m not happy for that price Not worth it.

The BRs come very quick and all play well without any issues. There are nice menus and extra features, back stories and so on. Now to the other part, the show itself. The Misses wanted the BRs, so we got the BRs. Yes, I had to sit through hours and hours of this, such is love. What first seems like a decent show with a proper plot, quickly turs into the writing of an eight year old, with added skin and soft porn. Not that I mind sex in a show that's ok, if part of the story line. As the story line progresses, protagonists will be dying, which again, is ok. But only to come back because of what? An internet forum decided not to let go of the attractive character, so the writers followed suit? Others again are left for dead only to magically survive open fractures and gashing headwounds with fractured skulls, mind you in a world with no antibiotics, because little Jimmy decided he wanted them back in the story. Getting stabbed in the gut several times is not an issue, if the viewers and therefore the writers decide they love you. If you are a hopeless character, the bad guy who's changed to the better you will at least make it to the last episode. And when you think it could be over, it will still be not, there are some lose threads which needs to be rushed to be tied together, maybe. Terrific, if you have the mind of an eight year old and wanna see some boobs on the side.

J'avais regardé la série en dvd un mois plus tôt, puis je l'ai revu avec cette version et... quelle différence ! Il y a des plans où je ne voyais tout simplement rien en fond dans la version dvd et là, de la vie que je ne soupçonnais pas ! Sur grand écran 4K HDR, avec une barre de son, on a une véritable plu value ! Seul bémol : à 3 ou 4 reprises, une scène freez et m'envoie à celle d'après. Je dois alors revenir en arrière jusqu'à la dite scène. Ce n'est pas beaucoup sur la totalité, mais c'est quand même abusé... difficile de savoir si le problème vient des blurays, ou du lecteur cela dit... Je suis quand même très content d'avoir un beau coffret pour une telle série dans ma ludothèque !

Beste Serie! Deutsche Original Tonspur in 5.1 Dolby Atmos nur in Englisch. Sehr gute Umsetzung auf Blu-ray. Man hat die Wahl die Serie normal zu schauen oder mit einem Reiter an der Seite, der blinkt, wenn es zusätzliche Infos zu Personen, Historisches...gibt. Dann kann man kurz unterbrechen und bekommt eine Zwischensequenz gezeigt und danach geht es an der Stelle nahtlos weiter, wo unterbrochen wurde. Leider nur in Englisch, mit Untertiteln. Für einen Fan der Serie, ein guter Grund alles noch intensiver zu schauen und zu genießen. Ausser dem Tiefgang, der dadurch entsteht, gibt es noch 3 Blu-ray's mit über 15 Stunden Bonus! Für den Preis - Kaufen! Kaufen! Kaufen!
