Q: What film or series is this figure from ?

The figure is based on a creature which people claimed to have seen between 1966 and 1967 in Point Pleasant, WV. Lots of other strange paranormal stuff occurring around the same amount of time in the same vicinity, so "Mothman" became kind of a symbol of all the strangeness, and is essentially considered a folklore creature like Bigfoot, the Jersey Devil, etc. If you're the reading type, I suggest "The Mothman Prophecies" by John Keel, or if you prefer movies, 2003's "Mothman Prophecies" is a loose adaptation of Keel's book. Of if you're looking for a decent figure, this works out pretty nicely too. :)
