This Fiskars extended lopper is a very well-designed tool for reaching branches that I could not reach with my pole saw or small pruners or anything else I tried. You can get quite a bit of leverage with the pulling mechanism and I was able to cut small branches with ease.There was a branch on the tree in my backyard shooting straight up into the sky at the highest point. I've been trying to get to that branch for months. I finally got it with this long lopper!I highly recommend this tool for hard to reach branches in your yard and garden.

This pole pruner leaves others in the dust. The length can be adjusted very quickly from branch to branch. No more rope issues like tangling, being too far away, or short / long, and an adjustable cutting head. All very convenient.

This is no longer manufactured. If you’re lucky enough to find one, buy it. It’s a bit pricey but it’s worth every penny. The new models don’t come close.

This Pole Saw & Pruner tool required a bit of a learning curve. I had to apply more force that I'd expected to prune branches over 1/4"; this might be an issue with my arm strength, of course. In many cases I needed to prop the pole on my thigh or the ground and use both hands to pull the slider on the pole down to perform the cut. Still better than climbing a ladder, though. I also learned the hard way to watch that my thumb doesn't get caught in the ribbon between the slider and the bottom of the pole when it's slack. A major disappointment, though, was trying to use the saw blade on higher branches. Doing so caused the pole extender lock to fail, but I fixed by tightening a bolt - see pic. I was then able to saw off a 1” tree branch - see pic - but I wasn’t successful with thicker branches. So, while I would recommend buying this item, manage your expectations.

Great product. This pruner reaches really high and is super lightweight. It allows for me to remain on the ground while pruning the smaller branches. Seems to be made of good quality materials. Thus far after a couple weeks' worth of use, I am very pleased. It should be noted that although the opening of the sheers allows for a 1-1/2" branch, limbs this size can be difficult to trim based on their hardness. Although there have only been a few that I couldn't slice with the sheers, the larger ones do make for a bit of a challenge. Of course, in this situation, I use the saw blade which by the way works great! But once I reduce to slightly smaller limbs and branches, there is absolutely no problem with the sheers. I would definitely buy this product again and I highly recommend this pruner for anyone needing to prune branches high up in a tree.

It works great. If the branch can fit in the teeth, it can cut it. Granted you have to pull with a lot of force for thick branches, but it cut branches I didn’t think were possible

I used this saw for the first time today and was blown away by how easy this is to use. Very well balanced and being able to adjust the angle of the cutting head made the job much easier. I also love how easy it is to extend and retract the pole itself.Feels well built and it is a joy to use!!
