worked great
Had to torque rear axle hub bolt on VW. Only took 25lb torque to get the 225lb torque needed. Super easy to use.

Invest in this tool. Saves time
Having this tool saves time and makes removing and installing the gland nut 7-times easier. The tool reduces the torque by about 7-times so instead of 300 pounds of torque required, only about 43 pounds of foot-torque is needed. Use it with a flywheel clamp holder and you are good to go.

1973 Vdub Thing
As has been said, this is a must have tool for working on old air cooled VWs. In this case a '73 Thing. This walked the rear axle nuts right off. Crazy how it works, but bottom line it works, period.

Wow what a great tool!!!
This tool makes a very difficult job of removing vw rear axle nuts very easy and easy to retorque back in place. 30 Ft pnds = 250 Ft pnds!!! I was able to sit in front of the wheel with a 3/8 torque wrench to get it done. I DID have to file out the lug holes for it to fit correctly.

Gears don't match up
I put the tool together to understand how it works. When I put the 36mm on the nut, the arm was too short so the gears didn't match up. Thus, the tool is defective so I returned it. I was shocked that I had to pay the return shipping since it wasn't my fault the tool is defective.
