Much better than OEM original battery at a really good price
There are a large number of nearly identical looking, shiny red, 12.2 volt batteries available for discontinued Mikita cordless tools, but these batteries are not all created equal. After spending a disproportionate amount of time analyzing ratings patterns and reading between the lines of user reviews - much like trying to decipher the Dead Sea Scrolls - I decided to purchase a pair of Advtronix 12V, 3.5 Ah batteries to augment and eventually replace the aging stock batteries for the Mikita Uc120dwa 4-1/2” cordless chainsaw my son-in-law gave me. Most of these old 9.6V to 14.4V Mikita cordless tools look like toys, but they can be amazingly useful and effective for certain tasks. I have attached a pic of my little chainsaw. I received the batteries mid-January 2022 and probably got around to charging them some time in early February. I immediately tested them with my high-zoot multimeter and was surprised to discover that they both registered about 14.4 volts to within a few one hundredths of a volt of each other. So right away it was obvious that these things would provide a lot more power than the 1.5 Ah stock batts. I took the batteries off the charger, but didn’t get around to using them until just recently. Before I did, I tested them with the multimeter again, and discovered that both batteries had retained about 13.3 V - also to within a few hundredths of a volt of one another. Not too shabby for 12.2V batteries. I mention the extreme similarity in performance because it suggests - but, of course, doesn’t prove - good quality control and high manufacturing standards. I got a chance to put the batteries to the test a couple of days ago. There is a short little trail in the area where I like to mountain bike that has a fallen but still vital tree trunk that forms a big lip where a tight 90° hairpin turn suddenly makes a near vertical 4’ drop. I thought that if I could get rid of some of that wood, I might be able to bring that feature within the range of my modest skill set. I was able to remove a lot of tough, living wood by making multiple cuts about 1-1/2” inches apart, full capacity of the 4-1/2” bar, and cracking these sections out with a hatchet. The batteries both held up for a full 20 minutes each with the saw operating continuously. It was kind of like making one cut after another through a very tough 4x6. If I had had a 24” gas-powered Stihl, I could have been done in 5 minutes, but I didn’t, and this little tool and the batts were easy to transport with my usual riding backpack. I have attached before and after pics. Note the cascade of wood chips in the after shot. I am really happy with these batteries. They give every sign of being an honest, high quality product - unlike some of their competitors. Keep that little chainsaw useful for a long time. Great value too.

So Happy to Revive My Makita 5091D Mini-Circular Saw
I was extremely happy to find this replacement battery double pack. I have had a Makita 5091D mini circular saw for years and it has been one of my favorites, being able to carry out delicate cutting which other more powerful circular saws cannot do. After years of use the battery went dead and would not charge. I was sad that I would have to give up this little tool. Fortunately I found this replacement at a very reasonable price which works perfectly well and I am so happy that I was able to revive one of my favorite tools.

They lasted until just past the return period
I'm a homeowner, not a contractor. I followed the directions for charging, used the drill now and then around the house, and the batteries last just over two months. Return period is only 30 days so I'm stuck with batteries I bought about 9 weeks ago which are garbage. Don't waste your money.

Works with a Makita 6216d drill and its charger
The product specs state that this replacement battery is compatible with the Makita 6217d drill but does not mention the 6216d model. A little AI research suggested that this replacement battery should also be compatible with the 6216d as well. I purchased this battery and am pleased to report that it does indeed power my 6216d drill as well as charge up in my original charger.

Don't last long
Well, they work better than the old batteries they replaced, but they seem to lose power and need recharging more often after each visit to the charging station. I bought 'em mostly because they were the best price. You get what you pay for....unless you don't.
