.com Whitesnake were lumped into the "hair metal" explosion of the 1980s, but they were a classier, more classic rock band than most of their peers. So the songs that populate this hits collection hold up better than the work of many of that era's MTV-boosted groups. Vocalist David Coverdale took flack for sounding like Robert Plant, but his booming, confident voice is more temperate than the Zep frontman's caterwaul. From roaring epics such as "Still of the Night" and "Here I Go Again" to the blatant, sexy "Slide It In" to the memorable power ballad "Love Ain't No Stranger," the expected hits from the band's commercial heyday are included in this comprehensive CD, which skips over Whitesnake's several hitless discs of the '70s. Whitesnake's Greatest Hits... and then some
Whitesnake have really outdone themselves with this one. Not only does this CD have many radio hits, but two songs that weren't on the radio (as least as far as I remember in the U.S.) are on this disc as well: "Sweet Lady Luck" and "You're Gonna Break My Heart Again", the latter of which is Whitesnake's best heavy song, almost reminiscent of thrash metal. If you are a fan of any style of metal, or of '80s music, you should get this CD immediately. You will not be disappointed.

Any Whitesnake is good music
I've loved Whitesnake for ages! This is a good greatest hits of their old 80s/90s stuff. Got it at a great price today too! Different than the Greatest Hits I already had. Good CD packed with rockable tunes!

Its Whitesnake. This is all of the greatest WS tunes in one package. How could you not love this? All of the classics are here and that is what greatest hits albums are all about.

I like this collection because they include all the songs that they did with Steve Vai. I think that this is a good mixture of both the old and the new.

If you like or LOVE Whitesnake you will really LOVE this collection of hits from their 80's recordings!!! I personally love "Still of the Night" and "Love Aint No Stranger" but also enjoy "Judgment Day", "Is This Love" and "Crying in the Rain" too.

Great Volume Music
Saw an AXs concert on Sundance and realized how much I missed the music. Could not go another day without ordering this CD. Will probably wear it out in my car.
