Amazing!!
I gotta say I was a little torn on whether or not to make this purchase because the reviews were so mixed, but I am so glad I did!!!! I absolutely LOVE this! It was so easy to use, affordable, and such a time saver. My daughter wanted cake pops for her birthday, and honestly I don't care for them made the "original" way, so I purchased this. I saw the reviews where people said you couldn't use box mix, that it didn't turn out right, or was not done in the middle, and it had me worried. Fortunately everything went great! I did use box cake mix, and I can honestly say there were NO issues at all. I mixed up the cake batter, and I put it in a piping bag because it made it so much easier to fill each spot quickly so that they got done evenly. It took literally just 2-3 min and they were done! I couldn't believe it, they turned out perfect. If you fill each spot just below the top they do not over flow and they are perfectly round. Also just spray a little cooking spray top and bottom every couple of batches, and youre good to go. The only prob. I ran into which wasn't really a prob. And more likely my own fault anyway was the stick did not want to stay in when I was trying to dip them in the choc., but that didn't slow me down I just spooned the choc. Onto each one and popped them in the freezer to set. We also done some with frosting, if you melt it slightly you can pour it over, worked great! Overall we were 100% satisfied with this purchase, and I definately highly recommend this purchase. I will say that I do wish it had a power switch on it, because the second you plug it in it is on, and remains that way until you unplug it. We had so much fun using this, it's such a cute color, and arrived quickly.

Perfect cake pops!
First off, this mini cake pop maker is a life saver! I used to make cake pops the traditional way with crumbled cake and frosting, then followed by rolling them into balls but that whole process took far too much time so I decided to invest in this machine. With this machine I don't have to worry about the consistency of the cake pop and the frosting (when it's too moist the cake pop will break through the lollipop stick or it can sometimes break when you coat your chocolate due to the weight- very frustrating!). The first time I used this machine, I used brownie mix and it turned out to be a disaster. The brownies would stick on the non sticking plate even though I rubbed/sprayed cooking spray on it every single time. The second time I used the cake mix box sold in stores and they came out to be perfect! Greasing the plates were not required because they popped right out and in perfect shape! When I poured too much cake batter into the maker, it'd overflow and leave extra cake scraps but it's easy to remove. Some of the balls had "Saturn" rings around it and I kept it that way without trimming the edges because it wasn't too visible and it kind of gave the cake pop a natural lollipop look to it. In the end I coated my cake balls with Wilton Candy Melts which can be purchased in Walmart, Michaels, or Joanns. Pros: Easy to use Easy to clean Makes the cake pops extremely fast! (3-5 minutes for a batch) Cons: Machine gets extremely hot so make sure to touch the handle for open and close access Overall my experience with this machine was good. I wasn't too happy with this machine at first because my pops failed (with the brownie mix).. but practice makes perfect right? They came out perfect the second time (as shown in my pictures when I used cake mix) so don't be discourage if you fail the first few times because you need to get the hang of it first. It is recommended that you do test the machine to make sure it works properly and test your cake balls before you decide to make cake pops for any occasions.

This is a fun product. Makes perfect cake-pops
Easy and fun to use. Think waffle iron but with cake-pop design. Makes 9 at a time. Perfect and fun size for kids. TIPS: 1) Use the recipes from the included booklet. (I've read other reviews who tried commercial cake mixes and didn't have the best results.) Batter can be colored with food dye and flavored with favorite extract. Don't want to make too many pops at once? Uncooked batter can be stored in refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. Other option, bake all pops, cool and freeze some in ziplock bag for later. 2) For easy pouring/portioning, after mixing batter completely, spoon batter into a gallon size ziplock bag and cut tip off one corner at the bottom. Pipe into each circle well. For left over batter, use bread tie to close up open tip and store in refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. 3) After baking cake-pop, put on wax paper lined pan and cool balls quickly in refrig or freezer. 4) Melt wafers/choc chips in coffee mug in microwave at 20 second intervals until melted. Stir until smooth. AVOID OVER HEATING!! 5) Dip the end of your 6-8 " long stick (about 1/2-1") in melted wafers/chips and insert half way into cooled pop to set the stick. Refrigerate or freeze on wax paper to set stick BEFORE dipping the entire ball. 6) for BEST flavor results, use Ghirardelli choc or vanilla wafers. 7) When done dipping entire ball, to avoid flat tops, turn colander upside down and use holes for pop-sticks to set upright 8) If decorating with SPRINKLES, use small sprinkles b/c heavy or large ones may slide down or off and make a mess. Highly recommend. Great for parties.

Worked Great - Just can be messy and time consuming
I have only used it once, but was at it for over an hour, so I have a fair amount of experience! I used regular from a box cake mix. First batch, I tried to just "spoon" in the mixture. That was a disaster.... it just took too long, and the first ball or two rose too quickly, so when I closed the lid, it smeared everywhere. No worries - easy to clean up!! I poured the rest of the cake mix into a zip lock bag, and cut the corner, to have a more controlled pour. Filling moved quickly (just don't squeeze the bag too hard, or it'll pop open and you'll have a bigger mess on your hands). As this was our first time, we just ate them as cake balls - no sticks, nothing iced/coated. They were delish!!! So not sure how they would hold up to being dipped in coating. Of course, I used regular boxed mix, so that stuff isn't made to be fully iced. There are a few recipes in the instruction booklet. I may try those later on. I only gave this a 4 star, because the balls are small (think of a quarter, if it were a ball) and it was extremely time consuming, even "piping" the batter into the holes. 9 balls just isn't much at once. They do cook quickly - 4ish minutes each round. But that means you have to pay attention to them. I did it by myself, which was fine. But next time, I'll have a family member help. I can pipe in the batter - they can pop the balls out when done. Nothing stuck - it all came out clean. Even any spills or over-fills! I didn't have to spray it before use either. Not sure how that'll hold up for future uses. Overall, I do recommend this, esp for those who don't want to do the "traditional" cake pops (which are way too sweet to me!!!). I think these would be cute for some themed desserts, such as spaghetti and meatballs or similar.

GREAT PRODUCT!! Learn How A Beginner Made Perfect Cake Pops!
Ok so at first it was definitely a struggle to get perfectly round balls!! i’m not going to lie lol at one point I even gave up! However, after three times of tryna over the span of a week I finally nailed it!!! and it’s been super easy ever since!!! Keep reading to see how I got perfect cake pops! 1. I didn’t use the recipes from the book because i’m not that skilled of a baker lol instead I used betty crocker cake mix. (the pops in the picture are vanilla cake mix) 2. how much you fill the cake pop machine MATTERS!! I used a icing bag and poured my cake mix inside of that to avoid so much mess!! definitely easier than a spoon but if you’re skilled like that, do you definitely!!💕 I filled the holders to the top after letting the machine warm up!! (I didn’t have any problems with the machine as far as how long it took to warm up) To get my perfect balls I cooked them for five minutes!! (do not open it halfway through to check process - I did this the first time I was a little over excited! and they definitely were flat up top) after the timer beeps i used prongs to lightly grab the pops and they came out perfectly!!!! ** if you do overfill slightly, it’s super easy to peel the crust off** The machine came in perfect condition, and overall I LOVE IT. It is definitely easy to use ONCE you get used to it!! so don’t get discouraged!!!! It does only make 9 cake pops at a time, for those who maybe purchasing with the intention of something else! however, for me it works out great for my household!

Does what it says it will do, but not true cake pops
Got this for my 10 year old daughter who loves cake pops and baking. Seemed like a great idea. The machine does exactly what it says it will do-heats up quickly, makes fairly uniform little cake balls in about 3 minutes, couldn't be easier to use, just like a waffle iron. Even if some batter spills over, the cake balls come out fine. Only a couple of issues and i only point these out for anyone considering buying this for a child, it (obviously) gets extremely hot, and as an adult i intuitively reaiized the likelihood my daughter would burn herself, because i did. So know that you will be doing most of the work here. Also she lost interest about 3 batches into the process, which was 27 very small cake pops. Lots of time involved for me melting chocolate for the coating, cleaning up batter aftermath and insidious sprinkles.. she was over it much sooner than i expected, not just because it just wasn't that much fun, but because, and this leads me to my most important point, they do not remotely taste like the traditional cake pops that are made by crumbling a baked cake together with some icing and shaping into balls.. if you're expecting true cake pops, you're not going to be thrilled with this product. What you end up with is tiny round cake, and i do mean tiny. So, if i had to do it over again, i would pass on this product, just not worth the time and effort for the end result.

Great for kids or a decadent chocolatey treat! :)
Great cake pop maker! I am so glad I purchased this machine! My original broke so I ordered a replacement and decided to keep both because the cake pops turn out so well! My younger sisters (ages 1, 3, and 9) all adore making cake pops with me, and the pops are always a hit when family and friends are over. 5 stars for sure! Tips... -BEST TIP: When making white cake mix, add white baking chips (white chocolate chips) to the batter! It adds a special creamy and richness and makes for delicious cake pops. I love to add chocolate chips to chocolate cake pops as well! They are always most raved about in the family and I can rest assured that even if I mess up a recipe, the chocolate chips will cover any blemishes with deliciousness! You can even use candy like hershey's kisses, Reese's pieces, and snickers! Yellow cake pops covered in nickers and peppermint are my favorites :) -Use inexpensive cake mix if the cake pops are for personal enjoyment. I use the save-a-lot brand of cake mix to save money, and seasonal Aldi mix. (The box is $0.50 at Aldi for delicious seasonal mix and I get about 50 cake pops per box!! Surprisingly, It tastes just as good as name brand mix but it's a lot richer in flavor!) -Use a phone timer for 4 minutes- out comes delicious cake pops -Do not use icing!!!! Use chocolate! If you are making the pops with kids, use white melting chocolate or white baking chips. Add in food coloring for fun with different colors! Youtube has many tutorials for making Doc Mcstuffins, Sponge Bob, Dora, Peppa Pig, and many other popular cartoons for cake pops. -Surf google for coupons before going into stores! A lot of stores, especially Michaels and Joann's, can scan coupons off of your phone. If I'm feeling fancy, I visit Michael's for my Wilton's melting chips and they always cost around 1.50-2.00 each time :) All in all, I love this maker and I hope that you'll love it too! It is definitely a family favorite!
