True religion before enslavement
A beautiful literary work, that clears common misconceptions of religious history on Africa's origin. All descendants of Africa must educate themselves of our origins, the ancestors are calling for us to know the truth!

Learn your culture, islanders.
This was one of the books i picked up. Born in the islands and never understood exactly what they were doing. Now i see its a beautiful religion which can be corrupted or used for good.

Great intro
Very academic in writing style but also very informative. The use of Yoruba words throughout made it a bit difficult to follow. Overall, this book helped paint a much clearer picture of the Yoruba/Ifa religion and I can’t wait to learn more.

Not what it says is about
Very little in the book of what the book description says waste of money if you intrested in Santeria book focuses almost entirely about Nigeria and not a Yoruba religion as it should

Superb!
I have been researching Yoruba spirituality for some time but I never found a book that gave me all the tools that I needed to have my own personal connection with African spirituality and Archetypes that I longed for.Baba Ifa Karade has created a beautiful to read book that is grounded in ancient wisdom and knowledge. It is easy to read and simple to follow.I highly recommend this book to anyone wanting to learn more about West African religion.
