I bought seven of these chairs. While we had some issues with some initial ones that were damaged that needed to be returned, the final group we got seemed good. However, only 18 months later the chair in the picture just collapsed out from underneath me. No warning whatsoever. I was only sitting. I am a little over 200 lb, but well under what the chairs should be able to handle without collapsing and shattering. I have never experienced this before. Very disappointed and now afraid to sit in the other chairs.

I purchased this knowing it was damaged because it cost me about a quarter of the full price, so I took a chance. The damage was very minor, and my husband was able to fix it. I will say the lines of the chair or not as pretty as a true Windsor., But then again, I wasn’t about to pay a couple of thousand dollars for an old Windsor chair.

Amazon seems increasingly incapable of packaging anything in a way that gets it to its destination in one piece. Is this some sort of weird tax write-off scheme? The chair is fine. Not remotely worth 400+, but fine. Good luck getting it intact. Mine arrived broken in several places. Returning it will be a pain, but that's probably what Amazon counts on.

Chairs did not come with floor protectors as advertised. Disappointing

This Windsor chair is half the weight of the solid wood chair I have currently. The dimensions are roughly the same but the Windsor chair also has rough edges and wobbles. Very disappointed as it was over $400.
