I had been using a shampoo and conditioner that left my hair silky but flat on the top of my head, exposing mild-to-medium hair loss, after having a LOT of hair, though thin (as opposed to thick hair shafts). This shampoo and conditioner leave my hair shiny, but thicker in the shaft, so it does not separate on the top of my head for a few days. I worry less. Since this is a quality shampoo and conditioner that helps minimize thinning hair, it is worth it. Not an overpromise, and my hair is not growing back thicker, but simply a tool that works a little magic. Scent is slightly like cloves and might last a few hours. Neither good nor bad to me. Mostly pleasant.

**The review name says "Chad", but this is a review by his wife** I've lost A LOT of my hair in the past 5 years. I lost a large amount of weight and apparently, a side effect sometimes is that your hair falls out. You can see my scalp very easily and a single bobby pin can hold all of my hair up (it's about collarbone length). I take Biotin and other supplements for hair health and growth and a year after working very hard on it, it's still very thin. I have fine hair to begin with, but I used to have so much of it, you couldn't really tell. There isn't a magic pill that I've found (I have not sought professional help with this FYI), or a magical serum that you can apply to your scalp. This shampoo is the best thing I've found. It doesn't have a strong scent but is still pleasant. It leaves a very clean scalp and when dry it seems to give my roots a firmer and fuller body which makes my hair look thicker. I genuinely have terrible insecurities about my hair and this shampoo makes me feel better. That's the most honest and best review I can leave because very little helps me feel better about this.

Love the shampoo & conditioner because it feels good on my scalp AND, less hair falls out when I use it - makes my hair soft and manageable. Only issue is the conditioner bottle which is not a big issue. Once you use it, it sucks in and doesn't come back out, which makes it a little difficult to use after that. Bottom line - if you are looking for shampoo and conditioner that doesn't make your hair dry and brittle, get this. UPDATE: After several uses, I didn’t get the same results, not sure why. It’s a decent shampoo and conditioner and it does give you some volume. Not a great choice if you’re buying it because you’re losing hair.

I bought this Biolage shampoo and the conditioner after reading on several sites that it was the top rated shampoo to help hair feel thicker. I noticed the shampoo lathered very differently from my other shampoos. Felt as though it had far more lather, but also felt light. I honestly do think it has helped with my very fine, older lady thinning hair. One of the articles I read said it adds volume to the stems of the hairs, so they plump out more, and this may be why my hair seems to have more body. It is not designed to make the user grow more hair or thicker hair, but help what is there to have more body for styling and covering the areas that look like they are balding. If the feeling I am getting a little bit thicker hair is all in my imagination, I am fine with that because it has been helping my situation. My hair feels as though it has more body and coverage at the back of my head. Pretty much all I was hoping to accomplish.

I’ve been using Biolage Matrix for about a year now and you can’t go wrong with this product. Great value for the money and the product has a perfect thickness and scent. It’s a great product to have especially for those people who have color-treated hair.

The smell is weird for a shampoo, it’s like minty fresh toothpaste. It feels okay and doesn’t seem to harm my long fine thinning hair as long as I DON’T use the horrible matching conditioner. The conditioner tangles my hair terribly, and then I lose more hair. Using the shampoo with a different conditioner does seem to make my hair feel stronger, but not necessarily thicker. I don’t mind that the bottle doesn’t have a pump

I purchased this to help decrease the amount of hair loss I've started to notice. I've been using it now for about a month and have went from 10 hairs in my comb to 2 or less in the comb. Yes the fragrance is odd but it doesn't linger after you dry your hair. Other reviews mentioned the heaviness of the conditioner. I have shoulder length fine hair. I use about size of a nickel of the shampoo and conditioner. I rub the conditioner between my hands so it spreads easier throughout my hair. I love the product and it is working on me.

This is slowly working on getting my hair thicker. My hair thinned out in the past few years and I freaked out thinking I’d be bald like my father and my brothers! My hair stylist recommended this product and it’s taken several months to work and I can see it getting thicker. Didn’t grow new hair but it certainly has thickened what I have! My hair was quite long and I “shed” for years! But I recently had it cut short into a cute style and continue to use this shampoo and I’m telling you my hair has stopped falling out and getting thicker!! Just not over night. Be patient!

I use to use Biolage hair products many years ago. Now with my hair thinning, and other products didn't seem to work, I decided to give this a try along with the conditioner. I love the way it makes my hair feel. You don't need very much, and it works into a nice lather. I love the slight minty scent. My hair feels thicker, and I've noticed that my hair hasn't been falling out as much as it was. I am very happy with this product, and because you don't need to use very much, this big bottle will last a very long time. Well worth the money. Update: I purchased this shampoo for the second time. Was a little confused as the picture on the bottle was different from the original one. I just figured it was the same product, new packaging. It still Father's the same, and works the same, but the smell is different. Not nice at all. It gives me headaches, so I've had to stop using it. I'm still using the original conditioner, as you need so very little. I hope they bring back the original minty scent. It was much easier to take. Too bad it's too late for me to return this shampoo.

No problem with the conditioner, but I don't find it any better than others I have bought over the counter for a fraction of the price.

I like themproduct so far, my hair feels softer, cleaner and I can feel the conditioner invigorating my scalp. As for new hair growth, well, I have only been using for about a week, so way too soon to tell.
