Great
My 9 month old loves this and really helped him learn to drink from a straw!

Perfect cup for kids with special needs learning to drink
Basically it’s a squeezy water bottle. Squeeze bear belly, liquid goes into straw and into mouth. Comes with cleaning tools. As a special education teacher, I have bought several of these for my students over the years. Teaches kids to accept liquid (transition from bottle) and learn to drink through straw.

Appealing and Easy for Toddler, First-Time Straw User
My two year old is already using open cups, but had never drank from a straw before. We needed a portable drinking option and have started phasing out the use of the 360-style cups. This Honey Bear cup was just what we needed! The technique of trapping liquid in the straw with your finger before releasing it into the child's mouth worked very quickly for us and once he figured out how to wrap his mouth around the straw and suction liquid out, it was a seamless transition from there! The appealing bear design made the process even easier and the size of the cup is great for small hands. While it has been a great learning/transitioning tool, I'll need to find a cup that isn't squeezable--as it's become more of a fun, messy feature for us. Also, my LO likes to pull the straw completely out or push it all the way into the cup, so he can close the lid. If using for a small child, just be mindful that there's nothing limiting the straw movement with this cup. I do like that it is a soft straw that fits snuggly into the cap. Even turned on its side, water doesn't come out unless the cup is squeezed or if the top isn't secure.Overall, I'm glad I ordered one single bear vs one of the multipacks since we were using it primarily as a learning tool. I really appreciate the cleaning tools it comes with and we did receive three total straws.

My toddler took forever to figure it out
***Updated review 8 months later!***Initially my child who was 18 months old was not able to figure the honeybear out on his own. I also was having issues getting him to really take much from it. Now 8 or 9 months later he is finally drinking from it on his own. It was just one of those “let’s just put it away for a while and when he is older let’s try again” deals. I also figured out that he hates his formula so no matter what he CAN drink from (open cup or this straw bear now), he will refuse to take any formula from cups or straw.Part of Original review:I think the honeybear is cute and it definitely will fit about 6-7 ounces no problem; I have tried to put an entire carton of my son’s formula in it with thickener (per doctor) which usually makes the 7 ounces into 8, so I always have to leave a bit on the side.It is easy to clean (without thickener or other thick substance in it). The straws are made of a nice material that I am comfortable with having my kid use. Due to the design, it really is leak proof unless (as noted in next paragraph) you get liquid coming out of straw and dripping. It doesn’t leak when kid is throwing bottle all over.My only quirk I noticed was that perhaps when the pressure in air is high (like in the South when it’s really humid), I have actually had this thing magically squirting out of the straw! Yup, it seems that certain climate isn’t great for this one. I guess pressure builds up inside and forces liquid up the straw. If you have those straw covers/caps that fit the straw then I would suggest using it when you’re leaving the bear out and not continuously having child drink from it, otherwise need to pull straw up so it is not in the liquid in case this phenomenon happens.I would still highly recommend this product if you are having issues with your baby or toddler not drinking from sippy cups or anything else, just because I literally have not had luck with anything else. At least I was able to get my kid to take some from this.

Cleetus McFarland influenced me!
I saw a YouTube influencer talk about this bottle and how it was the only thing that helped his toddler drink from a straw and I truly believe that now! My daughter loved this bottle and learned to suck with ease. A baby essential

Taught My 18 Month Old in 3 Minutes!!!
The media could not be loaded. My unsolicited parenting advice to all my friends now is to start your kid with a straw and to not do the sippy cup first because my 18 month old struggled for MONTHS to learn how to use a straw and i just could not figure out how to teach her - especially since she was older and would get super frustrated and then just start refusing all together.I have no idea what this cup is blessed with before shipping but she figured out how to use the straw in under 3 minutes. Took the sippy cup away and she doesn’t even miss it, she didnt even get frustrated! You only have to squeeze a little to get the liquid up the straw and it really does not leak! Fingers crossed though that my kid doesnt figure out to squeeze and hold it upside down for a while though lol. This should be more popular than it is. I’m recommending it to all my mom friends. Why don’t pediatricians tell new parents about this product lol?EDIT:I started to use this as my toddlers main cup but after about a week i stopped. My only complaint is that the straw can come out easily with toddler strength. So she started taking the straw out then turning the cup upside down so all the liquid would leak out lol. However I’d still rate it 5 stars since my daughter can easily use a straw now all because of this cup. Wish I had found it sooner!

Good product but watch out for lid
My son loves his little bear sippy cup. The only thing that concerned this Momma Bear, is that the lid cannot withstand too much punishment - like a toddler ripping at it or knocking it off a highchair. The lid very easily broke off and leaves a jagged/sharp plastic end sticking out. You can always remove it or trim it down but if the little one gets a hold of this before you do, it could very easily cut them.
