These are great tools for anyone working with younger kids or developmentally disabled. I use it in my home daycare with children ages 2-4 years old. When they are having big feelings I’ll show them the mirror along with the corresponding picture that matches their feelings. They will usually pause and stare at it for a good while. I talk about the feeling they see and are feeling. It’s a great visual for them! I use it to teach about feelings as well, and we go over all of the various pictures (happy, sad, silly, angry, afraid, etc) while each child in the mirror and makes that kind of face (whatever one is shown at the time). The kids all love it and seem to approach it with intense curiosity. It’s been a great tool for helping them to identify their feelings in the moment :) so far it seems pretty durable, though I do keep an eye on them when they are using it. The size is good for them as well and it’s easy for little hands to handle.

My little girl is rough and so far its still working, the faces do get stuck but it still functions.

I thought at first that the mirror was terrible and cloudy, but there’s a whole plastic film over it which seems impossible to get off lol I used a butter knife to try and lift the edges up. It’s actually a crystal clear mirror!! I love it!

The media could not be loaded. Sometimes the feelings cards get stuck and you have to fiddle with them to fix them which can be an issue in the middle of an upset toddler trying to use them, furthering frustration BUTTTT this is amazing and my three year old loves to utilize it. An every day part of our calming corner

My son found this so fun to use and he talks about the different emotions often. We keep it in a basket next to his chair in his calming area. It's perfect for what it's purpose is.

I saw this at a student's house during a home visit and had to have it. My students love it. It's a great addition to the SEL activities in the calm corner.
