Is my favorite Smell good and taste good.

Just like how I remember when I was a kid going to Klang? Don’t remember the spelling. And ate my first bowl! Super delicious. I made mine in the instant pot with baby back ribs! So good!! Better if I had the little red chili’s in soy sauce and the fried dough to go with it! I had the soup in a separate bowl! No judging my picture! 😁

It’s not easy finding this packets in local Asian grocery stores. It is expensive, so we will only get them when we’re craving for bak kut teh!

I bought one to try. I used 3 quartz instant pot to cook by putting in the two packages. It was too strong :) (still good). I didn’t realize the two packages are “two packages” that I can actually cook for two meals. I thought they are two packages with different spices that need to cook together. Should have read the instruction more carefully. Buying again...

The BKT herb soup is an acquired taste. Each individual taste bud is probably different. This brand is one of the many brands originated from the BKT capital of the world, Klang or Pasang. This particular brand is not bitter and has a hint of sourness. Very good quality.

I'll buy more packages for the winter.

Just like the ones in Klang. Good herbal flavor and so simple to make. So glad I could find this on Amazon.

Be aware that although it says it includes two packets, you will need both of the packets for one serving. We thought it was a reasonable price but actually it was pretty expensive just for one meal. And it is not returnable. That being said if you’re OK with the price, this makes a decent soup.
