3 of the 4 were the same dinosaur. Should have been 4 different ones. Even my 3 yr old nephew new they were wrong.

I bought these for the son of a friend who was having a baby shower, so that he would not feel left out. I failed to read the age limit, which is 10 and up, and my friend's son is 7 and apparently has no patience. I explained to him that he would need to let his father or mother help him with these eggs after he got home. He had them all cracked open and the tiny little dinosaurs out before we knew what had happened! It's anybody's guess if he will "grow" them in water (he was trying to put them in water at the baby shower), but he seemed to have fun anyway. So they are a neat little thing but probably better for 10 and up as it states. The shells appear to be some sort of card board/paper mache, and the dino toys inside are about an inch, inch and a half when not filled out with water, so not safe for very small children at all.

So fun just wish they grew bigger

I had purchased one of these growing Dinos from an egg at Barnes and noble that was truly awesome. Unfortunately, they did not carry it anymore, so I had to turn to Amazon, and found this similar looking product. However, this product is terrible. The egg disintegrates almost immediately and breaks apart into dusty particles. The first Dino we grew had fur! It was gross. It never grew more than its original size. I had my misgivings that it might be toxic but held out hope for my son that it would grow, but it did not. We finally took it out after 10 days and the Dino could not stand cuz it barely had feet. We threw that out finally and decided to give another egg a chance. It was just as disappointing. The box came with 4 eggs, which I had planned to gift two to friends, but I will need to throw the rest away. Do not buy this product!
