So much better than the old style mouse trap!
I was really impressed with how simple yet effective the Victor EZ Set Wooden Snap Traps are. Even as a first-time user, I found them a breeze to set up, and having 12 traps meant I could tackle multiple trouble spots at once. The wooden construction feels sturdy, and the snap mechanism is strong enough to ensure a quick and humane catch. Cleanup was easy, and I appreciated that they’re reusable so I didn’t have to keep buying replacements. Overall, these traps have saved me time, money, and a lot of frustration—highly recommended for anyone dealing with a rodent problem!

Does the job
These are the only brand I will use. Only one that reliably gets the critter vs. having bait stolen and not snapping. That does make them a little more fiddly to set properly. I use a stick under the baited panel to hold it in place while I slide the set trap into position.

They work well
I live in the country and buy these in bulk, I think the traps with the yellow pad are more effective than the ones with just metal curled up.

Inexpensive and simple.
These are a bit more difficult to set, but still not terrible.I like the ability to set the sensitivity so they don't trip prematurely when placing them.Really need to be careful with your fingers when setting them.Less expensive than most designer traps.

Sensitive traps, but they work
I really don't like mouse traps, it seems that I trip the traps myself as I put them down. So I tried a safer to set mouse trap that cost twice as much as These. I have not caught 1 mouse with the new safer traps. These traps are very sensitive. I don't like that, but These traps are the traps that are catch mice. I will toss the new safer traps and return to buying these traps again.

POORLY MANUFACTURED TRAP
I have used Victor mouse traps for 75 years. Reviewers complained about the quality of Victor traps; so I bought two of each type of Victor mouse trap to see if they were still made as well as the old ones that I have used for years. I bought two taps of this type, which looked similar to an old one I still use with success. Both these traps arrived and they looked like the one I had, but looks were deceiving. I baited each one and tried to set them, but they kept triggering off before I could even set them on the floor. I tried to set each one many times, but I could not get either trap to stay set for more than a few seconds before it would trigger off. A close examination revealed that the trigger mechanism is never going to work because the trap itself and the trigger mechanism are not properly made. My old one has worked reliably for years, but these new traps are poorly made. It is not worth my time to return this junk to Amazon; so into the trashcan they go. I also bought two of Victors other type mouse trap, which is the type I first used in the late 1940's. Of those two traps one worked and caught a mouse. The other trap went off the first night and the entire trap mechanism blew apart but the lucky mouse got away safely. Thus out of 4 Victor mouse traps purchased, I got one that works and the garbage man will get the other three. Too bad Victor can't make a reliable mouse trap like they did decades ago. I guess the Victor company has sacrificed quality to make a cheap product that the consumer has to throw away. I am sure the Victor company does not suffer losing the business of this very old man, but perhaps you younger folks can learn from my experience and save your money. It is sad to see American manufacturing quality decline to the level of Chinese made junk!

VICTOR Easy Set Mouse Trap
VICTOR Long Time Great Supplier, what can I say about the Easy Set Mouse Trap by Victor - It's A VICTOR - HAHA I have used Victor Mouse Traps since the 1950s, they just work. I use peanut butter not cheese on the end - perfect, makes them have to get all the way up on it and bingo.

Okay, but order twice as many as you need
These are effective, but you will be unable to set about half of them due to poor quality control of the trigger assembly. Save yourself some frustration and try to set it without bait to check the hold before trying to set it with bait. If the trigger won’t hold after several tries, toss it and get another.
