I buy this for my brother in law. He has been taking it for years and likes this brand a lot. Good quality brand and product.

I take this after having surgery and I like that it does not have any aftertaste. It does down my throat without issues. It does not affect my stomach. I take it 3 times per day without issues. It does leave powder residue on my hands but I'm okay with that.

On time as described

I have been taking this for years and I think Solaray is a good brand, but I am kind of tired of all the loose powder inside the bottle. I don't like chalky stuff on my fingers. Now I find broken apart capsule shells in the bottle all the time. Other brands of supplements do not seem to have this issue. I'm looking for another brand to buy.

I started taking this when pregnant because my friend said it could help with morning sickness. I noticed an improvement in my morning sickness when I started taking it so I don’t know if it was just placebo or if it actually worked. I still take it daily even after having my child because I know I don’t get enough calcium in my diet. Yes, the pills have powder all over them with each bottle I’ve gotten but it’s really not as big of deal as everyone is making it out to be. Just wipe off your hands on a towel.

Deceptive labeling!The front label clearly states “Calcium Citrate” “1000 mg per serving”. This is what I wanted, good. Except when you look at the “contents” on the back, in fine print label says “up to 85% calcium citrate”, the rest is calcium carbonate. What’s up with that?1) What’s does “up to” actually mean? 50%? 10%? Only the manufacturer knows and they won’t say.2) The front label clearly states that Solray is selling “Calcium Citrate” “1000mg per serving”This is blatantly a money saving move on the part of the manufacturer. I’m not using Solray products again.This label is at best deceptive and I would guess was not legal until the recent gutting of the FDA.

Update: The company addressed my concern, offered a resolution & made it right. Therefore, I am upgrading my review from 1 to 3 stars for the customer service.The vitamin capsules smelled & tasted moldy & musty. The company tried to blame it on the "flow agent" ingredient, magnesium sterate. Research indicates that magnesium sterate does not cause a vitamin to smell & taste bad. The vitamins are nauseating & I am unable to take them. They will be discarded & I am out the $$$ I paid for them. I expected more from Solaray and am very disappointed. I will not be purchasing from this company again.
