Preachy
I found this book to be preachy rather than helpful. I would have preferred more info on improving our ecosystems

Many people planting many little ecosystems can transform our culture and our world🌱
This book is informative, visionary, and beautifully illustrated. Our society should be growing more food, and not in mono cultures of a few specific crops, but everywhere. Loeks lays out the case for more widespread and diverse edible ecosystems and then shares actionable ways to do just that. It is the kind of book you want to keep on your shelf but keep giving away to friends because it’s something everyone should read. I design edible gardens and I am grateful to the author for putting this book out into the world and starting a larger conversation.

A perennial book for our family
I love this book. I have been using it as a primer on ecology with my 10 year old and we have begun working together to design his own food forest plot based on info in this book. I’m sure we’ll keep coming back to it for sometime into the future.

Masses of information in bite size chunks to read, think about and put into practice in your own garden. Beautifully illustrated with authors own artwork.
