Software updates for scan tools are very expensive. If you buy directly from Autel, it costs a lot more than buying one of these update cards. The good news is that the update card is the same as buying it from Autel only a few hundred dollars cheaper. After getting the update card, I went to the U.S. Autel website (my scanner is an Autel USA model) and entered the code number. It immediately updated and said my scanner was good for another year. Plus, it adds another year of warranty on the scanner as well. Overall, very happy with the price and how easy it was to update my scanner.

Tried to purchase this item when it was selling for $399.00. They had an issue with my payment had to cancel the very next day and repurchase when I found out the price went up to $429.00. seems odd it would go up that quick... But otherwise it came I used it and it worked...
