Clever power back box screwthread repair clip.
These are very clever fixing clips which save a ton of difficulty work (digging a light or socket back box out) by slip on thread replacement points. The clips incorporating the new thread are very well made , are strong and effective. You do as was suggested by another reviewer need to make a small clearance (1mm) in the wall at the side of the back box to allow the clip to go fully in but I found that task very easy. I fitted the repair clips to a metal back box and found they fitted easily and effected a perfect repair. Highly recommended!

Not perfect but definitely affective enough and great get out of jail product
Good product, price could be lower and there is also issues if the wall the box is set in is brittle or not tight enough to the box as it doesn’t grab as well and can come loose with the heavy handed type that like to pull plug tops up instead of out

These saved my bacon!
An electrician showed me these when he was doing some work on my lighting circuit and had to remove the switches, 3 lugs had been cross threaded.Fast forward a year and a half, we've just had our kitchen tiled and guess what, 4 boxes had all been cross threaded and I needed some of these. I purchased 10 and used 4, they're easy to install and if the silver part comes away from the black clip, they are not broken, they will go back together and are still as strong.

Lifesaver
I recently had some contractors in and only after they left, did I notice this issue where the plug socket was hanging off the wall slightly. When I went to tighten it up, I realised the whole lug had broken off my metal back panel which sent me into panic with young kids about. Whilst I'm a dab hand with DIY tasks, I didn't really want to start re-wiring the whole socket so I came across this little contraption. It didn't come with instructions (perhaps useful for more the alignment part) or anything but a fairly self explanatory clip on device. I took my hammer and bashed it into place with about 3 hits and then re-tightened the original screws into place. It could perhaps handily come with a couple of screws as it was very tight to screw into the new hole with the old screws but either which way for the £1.50ish per clip (I got the pack of 4) - it's certainly reasonable value for a task that would otherwise be a couple of hours to fix at least (and if not paying an electrician too).

Back Box repair Kit Expensive
A 25mm Back box costs 50p. Cheaper to replace the box but these clips are handy however £5 for 2 clips are extortionate

These clips work!
The back box I wanted to repair was quite deep in the wall, I found it almost impossible to get the clip on the side of the box. After quite some time I succeeded. The spring that holds the clip in place is very strong, so it's not going to fall off. If the box was at the surface, it would have been a lot easier. You need a gap at the side of the box to be able to clip it on and any protruding bits of metal on the side of the box need to be removed. Quite any expensive item, but unique and far quicker than having to replace the back box. I would recommend these.
