If you pick only one book on productivity, choose this one.
Quick Summary: If you are going to choose only one book to improve your productivity pick this one. It implements brand new advice along with tactics from other famous productivity experts. It is a easily digestible and Chris has given you physical actions you can actually take to implement the tactics in each chapter. It is hands down the best productivity resource I have read. The author is to be applauded for his use of scientific evidence along with his anecdotal evidence. As he presents the advice he also tells you his own journey through his experiments which helps make the advice be practical and relatable. I truly believe if you use even just a fraction of the advice in this book, you will not only become more productive, you will become a happier and healthier person.Longer Summary:If you have been itching to improve not only your productivity but your life pick up this book.If you have been reading productivity tactics for years, still pick up this book.Chris Bailey has written what may be the most useful and actionable book about productivity to date. The author has spent a great deal of time sorting through the mass amount of productivity hacks, systems and advice. He then distilled the most useful information into this book. He also takes his very unique experiment and tells you actual ways you can improve your productivity. What I find most amazing in this book is how Chris has taken both age old and brand new advice, and made it easily accessible and actionable. He has included actual physical actions you can take to implement these tactics. Some of these tactics may seem like coming sense but as the author points out “common sense isn’t always common action”Chris has now written what may become the go to source for productivity advice. Whether you have read every productivity book under the sun or are just looking for a way to perhaps gain some extra time during the day, pick up this book. I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Easy read with good info
I wasn't really sure if I would like this book as I've read a lot of productivity books and he is 20 years younger than me. But I was curious to see what he learned during his year of productivity. I was surprised to find it to be an easy, informative and entertaining read. He provides easy exercises to incorporate what he learned into your life. I didn't expect to find any earth shattering new info (which I didn't) but I loved how he structured it around the ideas of utilizing time, energy, and attention, a concept I'm not sure I've seen before. I also appreciate how much research he did in his project. The book overall was a great review for me and I would definitely recommend it.

Excellent foundation in starting to cultivate your productivity
This book has tremendously changed the way i approach my work. I used to procrastinate a lot more than I do now. The book gives you the answers to why you procrastinate and how to fix it. The techniques are simple and effective and the book is written in a fun and engaging way, sometimes akin to a blog. What really sets this book apart are the examples of his personal experiments, which really adds to the credibility of the author. The only downside is that I felt that there are more things that could be said on certain topics, for example sleep and diet, but that's nothing some extra research on your part can't fix.The exercises at the end of every chapter are pretty easy and straightforward, although at times a bit tedious, will all allow you to up your productivity and understand a little bit more about yourself in the process. Not all of them will work for you, but if you make the effort to try them out and consequently integrate into your lifestyle the ones that work really well, your procrastination will subside and your productivity will skyrocket.

Read Medium blog posts on productivity if you’re looking for viable steps to take.
Chris, has demonstrated a very deep understanding with his commitment to research and remain as productive as possible. Here are my challenges and positives with the piece presented. First and foremost, the book references ‘Getting Things Done’ so much to the point that I should have purchased it instead of this. It served as a regurgitated version of that piece of literature. Second, the humor (was 50/50) didn’t make sense in some ways. Lastly, how he would validate certain statements was confusing. One example would be his naming of certain individuals and how they would “coin” a certain phrase. Chris, would give no understanding nor context of this person. The challenges in the book were why I listed it as a 3. I didn’t really see much value here. You could get more productivity hacks out of free Medium blog posts. Now, for his positives. The humor, when the book flowed and was logical, was funny and well tasting. Chris does a superb job referencing first-hand accounts on the hacks he personally tested. He’d also give solid recommendations that would go along with his experience. I will add though that some tips he’d give were kinda extra and well over the top i.e. keeping a water proof journal in the shower to jot down notes as they’re always evidently popping up in your head. Overall, a decent book. Took 8 days to read and wouldn’t dedicate anymore time to it than that.

Simple, but good
It's all known from other books, but it's a rather nice and simple compilation of things to do in order to increase your productivity.

Great job
Several pages left to finish the book.I’ve clearly developed a liking of the author and “deliberately” decided to write a comment to show my respect to the “mindfulness“ Chris Bailey has put in realizing his year-long project as well as in writing this book.(Even though he buy drinks at Tim Horton, watches hockey, practices Yoga, and uses and saves Canadian dollars.)Among the productivity books Amazon suggests (Power of habit, Deep Work, etc.), I’ve found this one less “journalist-styled”, way more personable, and covers a full range of our daily life scenarios.Great job from a cheerful writer. Even though he feels Canadian. :)

I liked it so much I bought it in 2 formats!
I bought this book first in the audible version. Chris did a great job of narrating! I typically listen to books when I'm driving or walking, so wasn't able to focus on the exercises and challenges that he layed out. I enjoyed it so much and felt so strongly about what he found in his research that I bought the paper copy of the book and can't wait to go through it all again. Very interesting and thought provoking book!

This is one of the best books I have ever read, but I'm sure that is not for everyone
Simply give it a try, it is live changing in really a lot of different ways. I wish it can be translated to many other languages. It helped me a lot.
