Holosun 407K X2. Before I 'review', it should be said that this is my first red dot on a handgun, and I fell in love with the concept, sooo...Mounted it on a new Equalizer, here's my info and thoughts;1) Yes, it fits perfectly on the Equalizer with no plate or mill work needed on the slide.2) No, it DOES NOT come with the correct screws to mount the site. This is bogus on the part of Holosun and needs to be addressed. Too pricey of a sight to not come with all types of mounting screws.3) Because of that, you will need two 6-32 black oxide flat head socket screws. You can get these at most local hardware stores for about .40 cents each. I bought the 1/2" long overall length screws because that's all they had, but 9/16 or even 5/8" length would be better. The 1/2" do work though. Make sure you clean the oil off the screws and out of the slide holes before putting the loctite on and putting the screws in though.4) Yes, it will barely co-witness with the OEM iron sights. It's not perfect by any stretch, as you can only see about 20% of the front sight, but in an emergency situation, the iron sights would be usable and accurate with the 407K mounted.5) It works/fits very nicely with the IWB holster I bought (crossbreed).Took it to the range today. Wow. I was impressed! The 6MOA is perfect for me, and it only needed a few clicks up and right to be dead on after mounting it. Once sighted in, it held zero flawlessly round after round. I really like that you can change the battery without removing the sight, and the shake awake feature is super-sensitive and works very well. I love being able to stay on target with both eyes open to the surroundings. Despite the missing screws debacle, I would still buy it again. Nice sight.

Very nice rds for my edc 365XL. I have a Romeo X on my 320C and was torn between the Rome X compact and this rds. Couldn’t be happier with the 407k. Very durable, didn’t break the bank, and good brightness. I’ll be going to the range this week to test accuracy and get it zeroed. I will update the review after.

Nice size dot for the shield plus. Fde is a nice touch, tint is not noticeable. Dot is clear for my astigmatism which is a plus.

There is only thing with i would say about this 407k and its not a bad thing but if you choose to sight in your red dots with a bore sight finder its a ton easier to get the 507k because you can have just the outer ring which will leave an open circle for your bore sight lazer light to center into. with this one the dot is always in the center. you can dim it and still align your dot it just takes a little more work to get it done. other than that its worth the buy and for me and worth saving the extra $ to make it easier to set up. anyone else looking to buy either one if you have the extra cash and want to make it the easiest and you can splurge the extra cash i would say get the 507k. other than that this thing is AWESOME i have the 507c and now the 407k in my fleet.
