Great amount for the price
This product was great! Came with so many rings they could barely fit in the box. All in good condition! Best value and quantity for the price. Loved it

Excellent Pre-Filter Media for Cleaner Water and Healthier Fish!
I recently purchased the Fluval Pre-Filter Media (Ceramic Rings, 26.45 oz.) for my aquarium, and I am absolutely thrilled with the results. This product has significantly improved the quality of the water in my tank, and my fish seem much happier. Here’s why I’m giving it a 5-star review: 1. Superior Filtration: The ceramic rings in this pre-filter media are highly effective at trapping debris and particles before they reach the main filter. It acts as an additional layer of filtration, ensuring my tank stays clean and the water quality remains high. It’s a fantastic way to prevent the main filter from becoming clogged too quickly, which helps extend its lifespan. 2. Easy to Use and Maintain: The ceramic rings are simple to rinse and replace when needed, making tank maintenance a breeze. I’ve used other types of pre-filter media before, but Fluval’s product seems to be the most efficient and easiest to handle. It doesn’t require a lot of effort to keep it in good condition. 3. Excellent Water Clarity: Since adding this pre-filter media, the clarity of my tank water has dramatically improved. The rings help remove smaller particles that my main filter might miss, resulting in cleaner and clearer water overall. My fish are more visible, and the tank looks so much better. 4. Safe for Fish and Plants: I love that this pre-filter media is safe for my fish and aquarium plants. The ceramic rings provide a surface area for beneficial bacteria to grow, which aids in biological filtration and helps create a healthier environment for my aquatic life. 5. Durable and Long-Lasting: The Fluval ceramic rings are built to last. I’ve had them in my tank for a few weeks now, and they still look as good as new. The 26.45 oz. size is perfect for my medium-sized tank, and I’m confident it will last a long time before needing a replacement. Final Thoughts: I highly recommend Fluval Pre-Filter Media to any aquarium owner looking to improve their filtration system. The extra layer of filtration helps maintain cleaner water, and the ceramic rings are long-lasting and easy to clean. It’s a simple but effective addition to any tank, and it’s made a noticeable difference in the overall water quality. 🐠 Five stars without a doubt! A must-have for healthier fish and a cleaner aquarium.

Worth the value
My wife continues to look for these in the store and they are double the price of what I paid for these. So this makes it a worthwhile value. They are exactly the same.

Save your pads
They call this pre-filter media for a reason! It can be a life saver for your filter sponge and pads. Basically these just serve as an easy to clean barrier to large particles of debris. Unlike filter pads, these can be re-washed forever without falling apart on you and they'll really help to keep your finer media free from getting clogged. These are a one time purchase, you shouldn't need to ever replace them. I have a heavily planted tank, so I have no need for chemical (carbon) or bio filtration (ceramic rings/bio balls) in my tanks. All I need is mechanical filtration to keep the water nice and clear. So because of that, my canister has a large amount of room for media. I use the AquaTop CF-400UV canister filter, you do not need to use a Fluval canister to use this product. It comes loose in a plastic bag so you can put it in any media basket in any canister. In my canister I use this in the first basket. In the second I have a sponge and two finer pads. In the third and last basket is one more fine pad and a bag of ceramic bio rings. No, I don't need the ceramic rings, but with all the available space it's a perfect place to keep emergency filter media for use in quarantine/hospital tanks. If you have the space, these are a good idea to have.
