The Little Motherboard That Could (Proven Quality)
I built a Mini-ITX PC around this Gigabyte A520I AC a few years ago, and I have had zero issues. It works perfectly to this day. It’s a great board for a small form factor build. The Direct 6 Phases Digital PWM is solid, even for powering a mid-range Ryzen CPU. It handled the initial setup like a champ, and the built-in Wi-Fi/AC has always been stable. If you're building a compact AM4 system, this board offers genuine proven Gigabyte quality and reliability. It’s a set-it-and-forget-it component.

Perfect entry level, or in my case, perfect size for a test bench.
After years of using an ATX board for testing items to sell online, I decided to save space. I paired up with an AMD 3200G for the onboard graphics, freeing up the PCIe slot for whatever I need to test. While not the ideal CPU for gaming, fast enough for my needs, and I can add my spare GPU to the carry case and take it on the road if needed. Using a Thermalright AXP90 keeps the CPU cool, there is no fan noise, so I sometime forget it's on. If your case has front panel USB C, you may want to buy the the level MB, to keep the USB 3.2 speed. I haven't found an adapter that supports over 2.0. Other than that, a fair amount of USB ports on the back panel, for basic needs. The WiFi connected without the antenna's attached, that was unexpected. Five months of swapping peripherals for testing, the board passed the durability test, doing the job I need it to do. Most boards are being rebuilt daily.

Sweet set up.
Motherboard is great. Super price and well built. Everything locks in tight and secure. Very easy to assemble your computer. Plenty of storage space too built in and for external. No hesitations

Bios quirks!
Works fine, problems with real time clock. Updated to latest bios didnt fixed, if I try to change in bios it it reverts back to wrong time far in future.. So Disabled Debian from using RTC.

Good inexpensive AM4 board
After a number of system upgrades, I found myself with a DDR4 memory kit, an ITX case and a 5600G without a home. I bought this board and a boot drive to assemble a low power system. Everything I put in was recognized out of the box, Windows install was straightforward and I've had zero issues with it. It's got the a520 chipset, so it's limited to 26 lanes of PCIe gen 3. It doesn't support overclocking and has a fairly basic VRM, so it's not the best choice for gaming. It only has 2 memory slots, one PCIe slot and one M.2 slot so expansion options are limited. If you understand it's limitations and can live within them, it's a great board. For this system I have no need to overclock and the 16 Gb of memory I have in it is all it will ever need. It recognized the XMP memory timings and runs it at the advertised 3600 mHz. Sitting here typing this review while streaming video from a media server it's drawing 31 watts, including the monitors. I can use it for light gaming and I have 6 TB of storage on it backing up some less important stuff. If you're building a gaming system I'd spend the extra money for a more fully featured B550 or X570 board, but for a fast, low power desktop this is an excellent choice.

good bare bones AM4 unit
decent unit for what it is. works as expected but don't you hate when the price drops just after you bought it

dont buy this e-waste, its so terrible i may throw it out.
Plugged in the usb2 connecter but when unplugging it as carefully as possible it pulled the connector off of the motherboard. Hopefully it still works as all the pins looked to be okay but how dissapointing for a brand new board. additionally system fan 2 uses a special plug because screw anyone who wanted to use it without buying an adapter also dont set up ultra fast boot as there is no way to get back to the bios afer doing such unless you want to remove the cmos battery and the q-flash button does nothing at all from what i can tell. UPDATE, after having owned it for six months and having to reset the pc and reinstall windows the built in wifi quit working and dosnt even acknowledge that there is a wifi card at all. updating bios did not fix it nor did updating windows (which i cant even update from windows 10 now since having to resete it it keeps getting stuck on an update and i cannot find any soloutions for this) additionaly the fan settings in the bios never work correctly. if you have high speed fans this can make your pc unbearable to use when they decide max speed despite the temp being fine.

Great cheaper option for mini itx builds
So far everything has been great. Mine shipped with the latest bios f15( bios update utility would go any farther). I'm having some weird stuff going on with my nvme ssd. Might be because of the drive I'm using ( crucial p3 1tb pcie x3) but read speeds are low. Not sure why though. Tried getting all drivers loaded and that helped a little. It might be the drive I bought too no idea. Other wise the motherboard is great. The mother board power connector is shifted down from the usual spot so that helped me with my nouvolo steck case. I love having three fan headers too. Downside is the 3rd connector sucks because you need an adapter cable to use it ( it comes with it). Just make sure you don't loose it hahaha. Currently I am running a 5600g, 16gb of ddr4 @3200mhz, and a rtx 3090. Having the GPU and cpu water cooled in a custom loop. Powered it with a Corsair sf750. It's my mini portable rig when I wanna game at a friend's house, host a server, or play in my bedroom( bigger more powerful rig is in the living room). Mini itx boards are the best! No RGB on the board itself to indicate anything for post. But it does have headers for RGB and a speaker. Like some other reviewers had some issues with a different set of ram running at xmp. But that kit might be a dud. It doesn't run anymore in my main rig. It'll be designated to package opening duties.
