Almost perfect. Better than other clones
.I assumed all the identical-looking clones of this gun were the same. This model is 2 ways better than the Yutaoz Glue Gun (and some others).1. An indicator light inside the temp-setting knob tells you when the glue is at its target temperature (light goes off).2. Warmup takes just under 2 minutes vs 5-1/2 minutes for Yutaoz (see Note 1).3. The wire 'stand' is a bit narrower than the Yutaoz. Too tippy. Here are all the things I like and dislike about both models:Thoughtful design and quality materials. For example, the cord is not wimpy, nor too stiff, with strain relief at both ends and solid prongs. The gun’s plastics feel like quality. The replaceable tip looks like quality and alternate sizes are readily available. Very easy to disassemble the gun, in case you ever want to do that.My first project was to glue some coroplast (see Note 2)…usually difficult to bond. The included glue sticks made a *very* solid bond.PROs:- Good design and materials- Adjustable temperature up to 220°C- Nice priceOKs:- Works fine. No problems so far.CONs:- Not much English user info enclosed (mostly Chinese). (Zero info with Yutaoz).- No warranty stated in amazon listing or enclosed with product- - - Disclosure - - -The manufacturer gave me this item for review. I believe my review is impartial.- - - Notes - - -Note 1: Warmup comparison of Blupow and Yutaoz brands: I set the target temperature to 185°C and watched a watt-meter as they warmed up. The Blupow starts at 95-115 watts, and jumped to zero watts after about 1 minute 50 seconds (glue was ready). The Yutaoz starts at under 15 watts and works gradually up 61 watts over the first 5 minutes. After 5-1/2 minutes, the wattage jumped down to about 15 watts (glue was ready).Note 2: Coroplast is like corrugated cardboard, but it’s made of polypropylene, a tough solvent-resistant plastic.~~~ Comments & questions welcome ~~~
