Amazing Product.
We had a major string algae issue in our koi pond during the first fall we had it. Got so tired of manually tearing it out and this was highly recommended by our pond installer. Easily installed this and we have not had a single string algae issue since.

It works at keeping a clean pond!
I have struggled with algae in my pond (approx 500 gallons) for the last two years. Spending hundreds on muck removers, beneficial bacteria, etc. I was at a breaking point and purchased this as a last resort. We've had it in for just over a month and not the slightest sign of algae. The only thing I would advise newer users to do would be to start at the lowest level (even if you have a lot of algae) and slowly inch it up (1 level per approx 10 days) if you have aquatic animals in the water (fish, tadpoles, etc) so that you don't shock them with the copper levels. I installed it and put it to level 10, which shocked a few of our tadpoles, and all I needed was level 2.This thing actually works at keeping your pond algae free!

This product kills Koi fish
Put this unit in my pond and for the fist month things were fine. Lost my first 10 year old Koi in March then another a few weeks later. Was quite for a month Koi stop eating during this time then bam lost 3 fish in one week. Had the Koi vet out today 6/1/24 because I lost my 6th fish on Friday and was informed by her that this product is know to kill fish wish I had know before. Beware I have lost fish in age of 10 to 14 years old over a period of 3 or so months.

Wow!!! It really works good!
I installed the unit inline to my waterfall. After a few days with the system set on high, the water started clearing up. The algae was reduced greatly, much more than when I used chemicals. My koi pond is roughly 14k gallons and has full sun exposure for most of the day. The deepest part of the pond is 4.5ft and 2ft in the shallows. I’m hoping for good reliability from this system.

Kills most all living things
I have a 300 gal. pond that was plagued by algae and couldn't be controlled with herbicides without killing our fish. On recommendation from a local water feature installer, I decided to install the Iongen system in April 2024. First I pressure washed the pond and added new water. I set the Iongen at the #2 position and added fish and water lilies. The fish died within two days and the Cu level as too high. I turned off the unit and waited to see signs of algae before re-starting it, added fish again. I checked the Cu level every 4 days or so. For the next three months everything seemed to be fine, but the algae control needed me to up the setting from 1, up to 4 in the three months. By the end of July the pond became quite green. I cleaned the Cu probe and turned it up to 5. After another week without success, I upped the setting to 7. At that point when I checked the Cu level, it was toxic to the fish, the lilies were turning yellow. I rescued the fish and plants and removed the Iongen. I'm sure it would have eventually cleared the algae, but if you desired water plants, fish and frogs, this isn't the unit for you. I found a dead frog and the fish were in bad shape at the end of this experiment. I am sure this device would satisfy water feature customers that do not wish living things in their pond/waterfall.

Fixed my algae problem
I had a terrible algae in my small pond. Tried a number of chemicals, and nothing worked. I eventually had the whole thing drained and cleaned. I got this and set it on setting 1, and its been algae free for 3 months now. Highly recommend.

IOGEN G2
We built a pond in our back yard during the winter months in California (lol never rains in California ) because of the severe drought in California we are using less water in the pond than watering grass twice a week. Our pond came out beautiful bought some small Koi and two small turtles. The water stayed clear until we had a heat wave and the string algae blossomed. we treated the pond with algaecide and the chemicals were working but not like we wanted,We purchased the IOGEN and installation was fairly easily....it has been about 3 weeks since it was installed and the IOGEN is actually making a difference with no added chemicals. Wahoo the fish and turtles (and at home supervisor) are happy, Looks like we are going to be grandparent's to a couple koi soon.
