Trimaco 71020/12 Easy Mask Tape and Drape

I bought these on the off chance I might use them. After struggling with the 3M tape/plastic dispenser (worthless), these little TapeDrapes were my savior. they go on easy, stay on, and hold well for most indoor masking needs. The film that unfolds goes wide enough for good coverage for doors. Cutting away the thin film took some work, but once I got the hang of it, my masking job went really fast.

This has got to be one of the most useful inventions ever! I spray painted my brassy shower doors a silver color. Spray painting indoors is a pretty messy task. This stuff protected my walls and floor from the overspray. It took me forever to mask off the frame, but then I applied this over the masking tape. Super quick and easy to use. The clinginess of the plastic film helps with the application process. You can even use it vertically! I will definitely use it for my next painting project.

if you’re looking for something cheap & with quick delivery(depending on your area), but aren’t too awfully concerned about the area to be masked - this tape & drape will suffice.first piece of advice is to ensure you have an additional roll of painters tape on hand as the adhesive ability lacks considerably - but for just over $5 for 100 ft…. it performs it’s worth.i purchased this product in a pinch to cover over items/areas in my home that i only cared to shield from paint stripper/acetone/etc splatter that will eventually be refinished, anyway, but, that the integrity of could potentially wind up damaged by the harsh agents within the chemical being used at the time.if you’re looking for something that will leave you with a clean line & foolproof protection - this is not the product for you. the tape is merely masking tape from your local office supply store & the plastic is of the same material as the thinnest dollar store trash bags- like you’d find in a janitors closet. it rips very easily (though this makes applying the mask very simple) & the tape hardly sticks.for your bigger projects - look elsewhere.also not sufficient for use on automotive paint. the thickness of the tape will leave harsh lines - there are specific products for automotive body paint with specifically made tape that is thinner than usual to aid in blending repair areas.

Made painting so much faster. Still took a while for set up but made my job a breeze
