I used a AC -> DC at 10V, and 2 amps, above the recommended 1.1 amps, and burned out the transmitter.Careful with your power source.

Doesn't work
Didn't work right off the bat. Receiver end was DOA making both parts useless.

Works!
You'll need to make sure to use a 12v dc power source. there is only around 9v that is transmitted so the rest is turned into heat. The transmitter and coil is getting quite hot for me. If the coil did not get so hot I'd give a better review.
