This hydrophobic cat litter is perfect for collecting urine when my cat has a vet appointment. It even comes with collection tubes and a pipette, making it very easy to use. It holds up well and works exactly as expected. Highly recommend!

This is the perfect litter to use when a urine sample needs to be collected for the vet; the urine pools on top of the litter and the included bulb syringes (think mini turkey baster) make it very easy to collect the urine and store it in the vial prior to bringing the sample to the vet. I've had to use this litter twice with our cats and the different texture from their regular litter didn't bother them at all. The litter comes in 3 small bags and I did have to use all of them both times.

Great option to collect cat urine. The vet gave us plastic pellets, and the cat did not like it at all. This product was like sand, more natural, and had no problem with the collection.

My male cat is skittish and had a persistent UTI. I needed to collect a urine sample for the vet, but the cat would not use the litter box with beads instead of his litter. I ordered this product and it worked quite well. The cat was a little apprehensive at first because it is sand and not the litter that he is used to, but eventually, he evacuated his bladder. The urine really does stand on top of the sand and does not contaminate the specimen. Pips and vials are provided to collect the specimen to take to the vet. I would never have believed it if I had not seen it! I have bought this produce twice and will buy it again if necessary.

If you hate taking your cat to the vet for a urinalysis this is the purrfect answer! My Binx gets stress induced cystitis so taking him in for a urinalysis is not the best option for us. I have used this product 3 times for him and one other cat with wonderful results. I use 3 kits to fill the large litterbox they are used to so they can scratch some before peeing. The urine sits on top and can be siphoned off using the included pipette fairly easily. The only issue is the pipettes make collecting the urine a little long since they're so short and the tubes are rather small. I'd rather 1 large tube than the 2 smaller tubes.

Kit 4 Kat works like a charm whenever I need to get a urine sample from my cat. There was a coupon available for this which brought the price down cheaper than I’ve been able to get it anywhere else.

Ok, so I have a male cat. Vet wanted a urine sample but his bladder was empty and she told me of this alternative. I was skeptical when the package arrived. There are three packages of sand, about a cup each. And vials which are not needed since the vet provided one for sending to the lab. Most cats are fastidious about bathroom habits. Mine is no exception. I had doubts so I poured all three bags into a shallow, small litter pan. There was still almost no sand in the box. You cannot add regular sand to increase the volume b/c it won’t work. I left him overnight and kept my other cat upstairs with me. This morning I came downstairs and looked. He had tromped around in the 1/2” or so of sand at the back of the box but had not gone. So I played the waiting game. He did eventually urinate and it was easy to use the SYRINGE which the vet provided but was NOT in this kit. So in summary, the product is a good idea BUT why so cheap? Why not send enough sand for this to work without a struggle? And why not send a syringe? Profit margin, I know. Too bad this company is looking to make a few more pennies than actually provide a solid product. And if a cat was ill, holding their urine would only increase their discomfort and probably be painful as well. I hope this company will get their act together because this could be a really great product.

So easy to use?! I was shocked. It took my cat about 10 minutes to go to the bathroom, it was super easy to collect the urine. I opened the package and had a sample at the vet in hours, not days as I expected

This is an awesome product. We have been using Pretty litter and when it indicated blue meaning possible urinary tract infection we phoned the vet. They explained we could find a product such as this to collect a sample for them to test. They explained it is a much more difficult process in the office as one of my cats is shall we say aggressive with the vet. So we tried another product first which I'm sure works fine for some but my cats wouldn't use it as it looked and felt nothing like cat litter. So round 2 I found this product and it seemed to fix the issues I was having. I set up a small litter box and separated my cats they each had a turn. I was amazed this product feels and looks like sand but let me tell you it acts very different. It was amazing the cats jumped right in they can't resist a fresh litter box. The urine sits perfectly on top and was extremely easy to collect and put in the sample tube. I labeled and placed the samples in the fridge to bring to the vet in the morning. Once at the vet it only took them around 15 minutes to process the samples. We found that our little boy Romeo had a mild bladder infection. We caught it early so a bit of antibiotics and a food change and we were good to go. I will be using this product exclusively anytime I am concerned with my pets health. It is such an easy and affordable process. I just want to thank the makers of this amazing medical tool.

Demorou pra chegar porque vem de fora, mas funciona muito bem. Meu gato não fazia xixi de jeito nenhum sem a areia na caixa e esse foi o único jeito de conseguir coletar a urina sem ter que fazer extração diretamente na bexiga. A areia não absorve a urina e vc retira com uma seringa. No pacote já vem tudo inclusive o recipiente pra levar a urina ao veterinário.

Our cat seemed to not even entertain the idea of using any of the other bead-like urine sample collection litters, but she took to this one almost immediately and without any fuss. The urine was very easy to collect after, as it pooled on top of the litter. Easy to clean, too. Also, importantly, there is enough of it to cover the whole tray area, in case your cat is fussy about there being enough litter in the tray. It seems expensive, but considering it contains three bags of it, it's actually quite comparable in price to the seemingly cheaper ones which only come in one small bag, roughly of similar quantity to 1/3 of the total you'll get from this.
