Don't be discourage this sharpener works read my review and like it.
Hello amazon shoppers!! The way I reviewed the products I buy in Amazon is pretty simple from1- to- 5 stars, 1 being horrible, 3 being ok, 5 being amazing. Let's begin!! Check my pictures for reference, my advice and warning. This is an easy and affordable sharpening kit to sharpen chains in a chainsaw. Is not perfect. But trust me it work for me and I am basically a Newbie when it comes to chainsaws. You just need some elbow grease and it will help if you have a vice. But, I sharpen my chain without a vice and it works just like the new chain I bought. My rating for this product is 5 stars because I love how affordable and easy is to use.Use tips/advice: instructions aren't the best. So please watch a couple videos in YouTube before using it. I found out that when it comes to sharpen the chain. You must remove equal amount of metal from each teeth and keep your hand firm and level when sharpening from left to right. Also sharpen in a 44 degree angel. Once again watch videos.Advices: use leather gloves and goggles when using this product. And chainsaw protection when using this product. A vice will help. But not a must.Warning: I am not an expert, But, as a non expert chainsaw chains sharperner user. I love the product and is easy to use.Important!!! If you are satisfied for my review please by all means go ahead and support it by clicking the helpful botton it would support me and will also let me know that I help some one before they buy. Please contact me for any questions regarding my reviews I'll be happy to help.

Nice set, as advertised!
Nice roll-up pouch (with hook & loop closure strap and belt loop) to keep chain sharpening items in order. Everything I need to sharpen chainsaw chains.

Files well for the price point
The file kit works well for the price. It is far from perfect, but it gets the job done. It comes with three different round file sizes for different chains, a flat file for leader filing, a handle for the files, and some guides. The carrying pouch is nothing to write home about, once again, it does the job. The files themselves sharpen chains, but the guide for the round files doesn't secure the smallest file very well. This can lead to inconsistencies between teeth in your chain. Just be very cautious as you are filing and you should be fine. Another minor complaint, the handle doesn't fit the files very securely, so the files loosen from the handle as you use them.

They work as advertised, and that's important in safe and effective chainsaw operation.
The instructions are a little densely written, though if you read through a couple of times what you are supposed to do makes sense.I've been using these on a 16-inch Husquavarna for about 3-4 years now at the end of each season and at any point mid-season where I can feel that the chain is starting to dull. They do a great job, not hard to use and very portable. It's also easy to visually inspect each link for signs of fracture or dangerously excessive wear as you are sharpening.

I've had this for a while now.
I wanted to wait and use this for a little while before reviewing, and here is my review. The file handle is good. It is wood that the file must form as its driven in. No frills. The raker gauge is like most other gauges that come in these kits. Not great, but it works. The file guide works ok except it doesn't like to stay attached to the 7/32 file at all.The wrap it comes in works great and is bright colored so it's easy to see.The files. The most important part of this kit. What we all came for. The raker file works great. It makes em smooth with no burrs and if you file at an angle you don't get the squealing associated with these. The chain files need some help. They are not as coarse as most I've seen and the 7/32 lasted me through about 3 touch ups on a 42in chain. Then the file bent at the handle. I haven't used the other two files and have replaced the larger one with a swiss made file. Much better.
