Algebra Word Problems Made Simple: Master Algebra the Easy Way!

Mentoring and tutoring pre and algebra. Great book

I like several things about this book, as follows:1. The book is basically a workbook and is about the size of a magazine you might purchase in a store. It contains 130 pages.2. The print is almost large and is easy to read.3. The book contains explanations, helpful hints, examples, and many written exercises/problems to solve for nine topics: Everyday word problems; time/rate/distance problems, mixture problems, work problems, age problems, coin problems, investment problems, proportions, and percents.4. Pages at the back of the book provide answers to all of the exercise problems.5. The book provides access to a free online Algebra video library that includes word problems.In conclusion, I am glad I purchased this book because it provides me with all of the information and practice I need to re-learn how to solve algebra word problems, a skill I once knew how to do but have long since forgotten. I only needed a review of problem solving that I once was very skillful at. Perhaps this book might not meet the needs of people who have never studied solving algebra word problems before.

The math book teaches how to resolve everyday math problems involving money, time, travel, etc.

Explains well and gives a good structure to defining problem and setting up the equation. Answer only are given and some I struggle with need further explanation, even the video, while helpful on some, doesn't cover all the method to solve all the problems, at least for me.

This book saved my algebra experience from failure! My class is using another textbook. For most topics I was doing pretty well, but when it came to word problems I just wasn't getting it. I always seemed to be confused. A friend told me about this book and I decided to try it. Boy, am I glad I did! This book breaks the process of solving word problems into very simple and systematic steps. The examples are explained in an easy-to-understand manner and step-by-step solutions are shown in detail. The golden nugget is the online video tutorials that are included. There is a complete Algebra 1 video menu that includes word problems! So there is help for ALL Algebra 1 topics, not just word problems. I give this book 5 stars. If you or someone you know have struggles with algebra word problems or any other algebra topic, this book is great!

This book is superb my 6 grade daughter really loved it. Great concepts, nice explaination of concepts , good amount of examples and practice problems and their answer too!I wish if the same writer create entire math book for grade 6 for other topics.

The problems were well explained, but it only had the answers. It did not show how the solution was arrived at if you needed to see it.

I can see clearly now. Wish I had this book when going to school. Kids and grandkids will love it.
