I read many reviews online (not just amazon) prior to choosing this camera and it does not disappoint. This model (and the slightly larger 522) always seemed to take the top reviews. I chose this one because I wanted a smaller form factor than the 522 and it gives me all the same features minus the larger screen size (which I don’t even see when it is mounted) and the polarizing filter (which can be added on if I choose). The video it great. The app to download it to my phone is just ok. Sometimes it is quirky on connecting. So far, the suction mount has held tight without issues. The build quality is excellent, it feels solid, and I love the way it attaches to the mounting bracket via a magnet (very strong too). The attachment allows the wire to remain plugged into the bracket and not directly to the camera itself, making it a cleaner install and easier to remove as needed. I bought the kit to hardwire it, which I received, but I’m still waiting on the company to send me the proper compatible fuses. They promise they will ship them free of charge, but since they come from England, it has become quite a wait. Until they come, I can’t finalize the install so the wire is hidden.

Bought the camera in February 2022 so I had the chance to use it for several months before this review. The good quality of the video is unfortunately obliterated by a constantly frustrating experience with the camera. These are the major issues I had: - Camera is overheating. The temperature inside my car is always 70F regardless of outside temperature. - Difficult to remove the micro-card. Need a tool to push in, fingernail does not work (like most of other devices with micro-cards). - It does not accept micro-cards of capacity higher than 32GB. The Samsung 128GB micro-cards I've tried to use were as recommended by the manufacturer. The video stopped recording before reaching 32GB... every time! - When the videos captured are getting close to micro-card max capacity (i.e., in my case 32GB), the camera starts recording blurred images then stops working without warning. - Camera does not re-record over previously recorded files. I had to remove the micro-card and delete the video files on laptop. - Communication camera- phone app is unpredictable. Sometimes it works, sometimes it does not... and much you can do about it. UPDATE: I had to downgrade the rating to 1 star. Camera is nothing but a source of frustration. Frustration is the only thing that is consistent! Overheating, stops unexpectedly, "card format" errors. After posting the first review, I have been contacted via email by the vendor with the promise that they will help to solve the problem. Just that. Never hear a word after. If you read this review as a potential buyer, I highly recommend to invest the $$$ elsewhere.

After buying many dash cams over the last few years ranging in price from $50 to $300, and being disappointed by image quality, build quality, app integration or appearance, I have finally found the one. This is the best picture quality, hands down, and there is a lot more to like about this unit. What i have realized is that not all 1080p or 1440 images are equal, this nextbase product far exceeds the other "HD" cameras i have used. The app works seamless, and Alexa is really cool and i just ordered some things off amazon i needed for home while driving. The installation process took 10 mins and i will be purchasing the hardwire kit accessory as well. This unit has emergency SOS that will alert emergency responders in the case of an accident if I am not able to reach the camera or my phone, i like that safety feature for my family. I highly recommend this product to all my family, friends and anyone looking to get a dash cam, and will buy another for my wifes vehicle. Note: buy a sd card along with the camera.

Excellent dash cam

After using this camera for 3 years, I do like it as a basic dash cam. It's the first one I've owned that hasn't died from sitting in the sun which is enough for me to keep it. I have to remove a few stars since some of the nicer features used to justify its price tag just don't function reliably. Basic canera functionality is there so long as it is set up correctly (it will record 1440/30fps video while your vehicle is delivering power). A common error comes from using an SD card with too low read/write speeds which causes the video to stop recording without warning. Added functionality is hit or miss. This is reference to things like wireless connectivity and wake up while parked. The app, while well though out in concept, simply does not function properly. Inability for smartphones to reconnect to the camera is a known issue with this product and will leave you fumbling for half an hour trying to use when you need to quickly pull a video. It's a shame since the app really does offer a lot of functions like wireless video sharing and a good UI for scanning through videos and additional logging data the camera records. For my camera, the battery seems to drain while charging, so functions like parking mode are unusable as it will shutoff when losing usb power due to low charge. I considered purchasing a higher model after liking some of the features of this one, but decided against it as they appear to have a larger percentage of issues like what I've mentioned.

Use it on my car ofcourse. But when i get it the battey don't working. Not possible too recarge it. Beacuse off that i will buy the same one again and I hope the battey working ( that i can regarge it ) Remember this is is one wery good camera. Best in test !

Con los aperos de cámaras interiores o de espejo retrovisor, incluso la cámara trasera, es todo lo que necesitas.

Je l'utilise depuis 1 mois et demi et je comprends pourquoi cette marque est reconnue. C'est fiable, la connexion (Bluetooth et Wi-Fi) fonctionne. L'application ne m'a pas encore crashé. Si vous étiez comme moi à vouloir un produit milieu de gamme (entre les produits Chinois et les ventru/blackvue), foncez. La difficulté réside à mettre le câble ( pour la caméra arrière particulièrement).

Easy to setup and use. It does take some screenshots on uneven roads or potholes but it’s just the matter of formatting the memory card every now and then which the camera can do. The quality is good and it was worth paying that little bit extra for a good dash cam.

Istallazione app, associazione con telefono, aggiornamento rirmwere 10 minuti. Lingua italiano perfetta sul dispositivo, l'app purtroppo no ma anche mio figlio di 8 anni sarebbe in grado di usarla. Fissaggio a parabrezza molto semplice e tiene conto delle diverse auto: se spostata da un lato (io vi consiglio il sinistro) anziche da un altro non cambia di molto. Arrivata con un giorno di anticipo. Signori, su questa roba bisogna spenderci, altrimenti... Francamente non comprendo perché la 522 viene venduta al doppio e l'unica differenza è il filtro di polarizzazione che costa 20 euro e il display da 3 pollici anziche 2.5, ma il display serve solo a posizionare correttamente la telecamera e navigare sul menù. Lasciate perdere la fuffa!
