⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic MIDI Controller for Beginners and Pros Alike I recently purchased the Nektar SE49 USB MIDI Keyboard Controller, and it has quickly become an essential part of my home studio setup. The build quality is impressive, especially considering the affordable price. The keys feel responsive and comfortable to play, offering a good balance between weight and sensitivity. One of the standout features of this controller is the seamless integration with DAWs. Setting it up with my software was a breeze, and the dedicated controls for transport, volume, and other parameters work flawlessly right out of the box. The Nektar DAW integration is a huge time-saver, allowing me to focus more on making music rather than fiddling with settings. For a 49-key controller, the SE49 is compact and lightweight, making it easy to transport if needed. It’s perfect for anyone looking for a reliable and versatile MIDI controller, whether you're just starting out or looking to expand your existing setup. Overall, the Nektar SE49 offers exceptional value for money, with a combination of quality, functionality, and ease of use that's hard to beat. I highly recommend it to any musician or producer!

I got this as a birthday present for my partner and he loved it. The good part is that his excitement to use it was not bashed with a million pages of manuals and 1100 steps to get it going. He was making tunes within 5 minutes of taking it out of the box. The make of the product has a very durable feel and we easily store it in a standing position behind the desk whenever it's not in use. I actually thought the number of keys would be too few, but most songs can be played on it with 49 keys without an issue. It also makes it not too big so that it can be used on top of any regular desk you might have at home.

Tastiera midi controller. Siamo quasi al livello plug and play. Cmq oggetto divertente e che fa quello che deve.

OK, I’m not a professional or even an amateur musician, but this keyboard is a great way to get into learning to play (using GarageBand on my 2019 MacBook Pro or iPad Pro 11"—see photo for the latter setup). You need nothing more than a simple USB to USB-C adapter, and you are off and running. The keyboard is close enough to a standard piano keyboard to allow your fingers to play freely and well, and the velocity sensor does a good job of interpreting the strength of my key strikes. I added a Donner pedal for sustain, and that works flawlessly. So now I have a great practice keyboard and pedal for well under $100, and I can use this set-up for much more as I get better experienced with GarageBand and Skoove (the latter has good lessons for beginners like me). Pretty amazing what is available and what quality is available, when you start to look around! Nektar deserves an award for bringing economical instruments (backed by a great website and software) to market. The keyboard fits nicely on my existing pull-out keyboard tray. It’s not too tall, yet substantial enough to feel real! In the photo, you will note that I connected the SE49 to an old SONOS Play 5 or headphones, using an old USB splitter that I connected to the USB-C (Apple Thunderbolt compatible)-to-USB converter. I then plug the headphones into a USB-to-Audio jack converter for private practice or I plug the SONOS (using the SONOS 1 app) into the headphone line for out-loud proactice. Lots of options work, if you just tinker around a little bit!
