The first prehistoric family is ready for another rocking adventure! The Croods have survived fanged beasts, natural disasters, and even young love, but now they must face their biggest challenge yet: another family! In search of a new home, The Croods discover a walled-in paradise created by the sophisticated Betterman family (emphasis on the "better"). As they try to coexist, the differences between the two families escalate into a full-blown feud, but when a new threat forces both families to embark on an epic adventure, they must all learn to work together…or they'll all go extinct! Nicolas Cage, Emma Stone, Ryan Reynolds, and Peter Dinklage star in this hilarious animated comedy for the whole family! Review: Cute, silly and just a fun watch! - Wow! Some of the other reviewers are taking certain things in this movie WAY too seriously! Like being bothered by the “teenage romance” side of the movie 🤦🏻♀️ First of all, it’s a cartoon, lighten up! Second, just because our society has set a precedent on falling in love; doesn’t mean that it didn’t make sense for primitive society to having unions at a younger age. The world was new, growing the population was essential. Then others complained about the “girl power” element being too overwhelming 🤨 The majority of animated movies depict women as relying on the men in their life! Why wouldn’t we celebrate “girl power”?! The movie was cute and silly and all in fun! People need to stop looking for the negative in every little thing! Review: Awesome! - A strong story line, vibrant colors, both family and friend relationships dynamics are examined creating a wonderful lesson especially for the current society's climate of intolerance of just about everything and everyone. This story takes a look at the relationship of an over-protective dad who is afraid to let his children grow and experience the world for fear of their survival. In another family, an over-protective mother who shelters and smothers her daughter. Then, the collision of both families, discovering their differences, leading to intolerance, but in the end, becoming one happy and loving family that have learned that differences are not a bad thing, and they learn acceptance and to grow within and love one another. I miss the 'peace', 'love', and 'live and let live' attitude this country had in the 50s and 60s. Yes, there were protests and uprisings but there wasn't the hostility and controlling vengeance of forcing everyone toward one view and one political belief, or the violence our country has disintegrated into. There was no need for Amber Alerts, or 911 to report one on one shootings, or mass shootings as those events were virtually unheard of. This movie shows the pathway back to acceptance, tolerance, love, and embracing our differences instead of killing each other over them.

Croods 2 Is A Great Movie For Kids of This New Age!!!
The first Croods was really good. When we watch the trailer for the sequel we knew it wasn't going to be cheesy. They put actual effort into making this as good as if not better then the first movie. We love the Croods 2! It is hard to find clean movies for families now days. There is some romance between the two teens but overall this is a great movie in my opinion but no language and no real violence is rare to find in a good family movie. If your looking for a fun, clean and creative movie this is a good one! It's worth the buy to, if you plan on renting more then once it may just be cheaper to buy it.

Don't believe negative reviews . . .
I absolutely enjoyed the first Croods movie and was very much looking forward to the sequel. I decided to look at the reviews before viewing and was a bit dismayed to see quite a few negatives. One review stated that the entire family could not complete viewing and that most of the children walked out . . . now that's a real negative. Another stated a scene in the beginning of the teens kissing and I was like what kind of kissing if it looks that bad?! (It wasn't). Well, I am glad that I did not take those reviews to heart because I truly enjoyed the movie. I am going to watch again and I will be purchasing for my collection. I am an older adult female, love animated movies, and movie has the same lovely message about family (which the first Croods was about Grug loving his family to the point of self-sacrifice). I am not sure what movie the negative reviewers are talking about. As an aside, this movie has upgraded animation because the entire movie looked great visually. Excellent!

LOOKING AT THE STEREOSCOPIC 3-D VERSION
I am a huge fan of THE CROODS (2013). I think the stereoscopic 3-D in that film ranks right up there with HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON among Phil 'Captain 3D' McNally's finest work. A casual glance at a few random scenes from THE CROODS: A NEW AGE on my computer caused me to be concerned that someone on this film had been just a little bit stingy with parallax. In other words, I thought I might be getting the shallow, tepid, underwhelming 3-D that has ruined too many stereoscopic films in the last decade. I need not have worried! Watching the film this morning, I was vastly entertained by the story, the humor, and the stereoscopic 3-D. I am very, very grateful THE CROODS: A NEW AGE made it onto Blu-ray in 3-D, and I am pleased I talked myself into buying it, even at a slightly higher price than some other films in my collection. THE CROODS: A NEW AGE held my complete, delighted attention throughout. I was highly amused and laughed out loud a handful of times. I was very happy to spend another 95 minutes in the company of these characters, familiar to me from the first film and from a subsequent animated television series. And, though I might have a few quibbles with the stereo on view here-- I don't think it quite measures up to McNally's outstanding work in the first film-- it is still excellent. Depth is plentiful, compositions are well-chosen, and one sequence late in the film may make you feel you're on a theme park ride if you watch it under the best conditions. Your mileage will surely vary, but for me, THE CROODS: A NEW AGE was an excellent 3-D Blu-ray purchase. If you're any kind of a 3-D fan, order it with confidence!
