Small
Wasnt expecting it to be that small, it wont be big enough to fit just one napa cabbage ..

I bought it after Kenji Lopez-Alt recommended it in his book on the Wok. I've been fermenting using different glass bottles and valves for a while. I never liked the fiddling around to keep bits from coming up and landing with white yeast if I sampled my stuff along the way. My wife hates the smell of Kimchi, so I burp my container outside. I've fermented many vegetables and kimchis in it with superb results. Without hesitation, I will state that I believe it is the best device I have. Fido bottles that I use for fermentation are a great choice. They are easy to clean, can be stored in the fridge and microwave, and have no complicated parts. I can easily put them in the dishwasher without worrying about them hitting the rotor. There’s no need to fiddle with valves or deal with excess water—you can use less liquid, which prevents yeast or mold from forming. What more could a fermenter want? Two years later, I still believe these are the best methods for fermenting most things. Beware fragile

Great option for fermenting foods. I used to use ball jars with the "leak proof" lids but this is way better.

Great for ALL Fermentations, NOT just Kimchi. Have done Sauerkraut, Pickles, Carrots, and many others in these containers. Love the .9 gallon size for fermentation. Size is ideal for pantry and fridge times. When shopping for it compare single and 2 pack options. Sometimes 2 pack for a dollar or 2 more than a single unit, other times can buy 3 singles for less than a 2 Pack !

Absolutely awesome for making Kimchi. At some point I'll branch out to make some other fermented foods in this container. Worked so well I bought a second one. Contains the smell well which is appreciated by my wife. Easy to clean and care for. Awesome Product.
